Hi y’all!

My fiancé and I are getting married next spring and I’m feeling overwhelmed with the task of deciding what style dress I want to wear. I will more than likely end up having a custom dress made (so any recommendations for queer dressmakers would also be appreciated!) but it would be helpful for me to try on dresses first so I can narrow down my criteria and see what what silhouettes, necklines, fabrics, etc are possible.

I don’t want to go to a dress shop that is heteronormative so I’m wondering if there are any boutiques in New England that are queer focused or affirming? I live almost in the center of the region so if it’s a highly recommended shop where I’ll feel comfortable, I’ll drive the distance no problem!

I’ve been using Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses SPF 30 moisturiser/mineral sunscreen as my daytime moisturiser for a few years. When I went to reorder it, I discovered that they no longer make it, and they don’t have it in any of the other product lines. This has really been working for me and I’m devastated that the company is completely doing away with the formula.

I want a product that is at least SPF 30, mineral based (but rubs in well), non-comedogenic, moisturising, and compatible with combination skin.

If it’s helpful, here is my skincare routine:

Daytime: cerave hydrating cleanser, heritage store rosewater toner, SPF moisturiser/mineral sunscreen

Nighttime: cerave hydrating cleanser, heritage store rosewater toner, mad hippie AHA peel every other night, heritage store rosewater moisturiser

Hey y’all!

I’m planning on visiting Boston for my birthday and would love to stop at some shops that sell loose leaf tea. I live in a rural area and only order tea online so the prospect of actually going into a tea shop to select tea is really exciting!

Recommendations are ideally somewhere between the North End and South End/Back Bay. And before someone asks, I did look at the map in this sub’s info but there wasn’t anything within these locations.

I just saw someone include their Chiron as part of a stellium they have, which struck me as really odd. I know all about Chiron but I’ve never once considered to include it (as far as I’m concerned, I have 0 Capricorn/12H placements). So do y’all actually count your Chiron as a placement in your sign?

I’m also curious if y’all count your nodes, fortune, vertex, or any other asteroids.

There was a chapter book I read around 2012 that was about a girl who was friends with a boy that was being lured to another world/realm. I believe she could only travel to this world through her dreams (or maybe through a pool of water?), and I remember there was a moment when the boy had travelled there so often that he could never leave. But she was watching him dance in a circle with other people and he looked so happy. She comes back to reality and makes peace with the fact that her friend will never come back.

There’s a chance that the boy had some sort of illness but I can’t remember. I read it in English and can’t remember if it was new at that time, nor do I remember if it was a hardcover or paperback. It was definitely geared towards kids, maybe a fantasy book because it had another realm that was part of it. I don’t remember the names of the characters unfortunately.

I have two indoor cats named Bumblebee (11F) and Lyndie (6M), both are fixed & up to date on vaccines. I adopted Bumblebee in 2015 and we got Lyndie as a kitten in 2019. They have both lived at my dad’s house since adoption. Bumblebee is very much a Velcro cat and loves to be wherever I am but will sleep independently, whereas Lyndie is a bit more aloof but always wants to cuddle right next to me when I go to bed.

Bumblebee never fully adjusted to another cat living in her space and isn’t very affectionate towards Lyndie, and seems to be annoyed at his attempts to play with her. This has been their relationship since we adopted him.

A few months ago, my partner and I fully realized how hard it has been for my dad to take care of the cats due to some medical issues, so we took the cats to come live with us. They went from a spacious two floor house to a small two bedroom apartment, and actually seemed to enjoy the smaller space. Bumblebee had the living room, Lyndie had the bedroom/my walk-in closet, and the litter boxes were in a neutral space. They were making more efforts to play with each other, which was good, but Lyndie would corner Bumblebee in the litter box occasionally and she would growl at him.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, my partner and I moved back into my dad’s house yesterday. The cats adjusted very quickly, given that it was still a familiar environment to them, and even had some positive interactions with each other. But then during the night, we heard Lyndie making some weird meows and Bumblebee growling in response. Bumblebee would come into the room when I called, but if Lyndie would follow, they would continue meowing and growling.

This came to a head a couple times this morning when they were both full on yowling at each other. I had never heard nor seen them act like this *ever*. I would try to step between them and corral them in different directions, but that wouldn’t always work. At one point, Bumblebee sprayed in our bedroom which I have never seen her do in the time I’ve known her.

I really don’t know what to do. We’ve decided to keep the door to our room closed at all times so neither of them can claim it as their own, and we’re looking into feliway spray to at least make their environment calmer, but we could’ve never predicted this happening.

Any help would be appreciated!

ETA: we have two giant, stainless steel litterboxes that we put back in the same spots they used to be at my dads, which are in the same room but one is behind a partition so it feels fully separate from the other one. This is only temporary until we can figure out where would be a good location to put the second one.
