ExJW punk rock from Japan anyone?

At the ripe old age of 42, I felt comfortable enough to write and record a 30-min punk album. Previously, I was a 4th-gen member of the JWs. As you all know, punk and anything heavy was not allowed. I secretly hid the CDs of and listened to some bands I discovered as a teen: NOFX, No Use for a Name, Op Ivy, The Living End, etc.

I left the religion five years ago and taught myself vocal fry screaming. My first EP was released in November of 2025 as a solo project. But I recently started gigging with a drummer! This was my our first show together. We do 70% Japanese songs and a few English ones. This is one of the few English songs I wrote. Hope you enjoy it!

Local bands/musicians wanting a gig on last week of Oct

I’ll be working in Houston Oct 25-29 and usually try to gig when I travel for work. It will be my first time in Houston. I reached out to Super Happy Fun Land and they’ve kindly agreed to let me do a show there if I can bring in some local acts. Anyone interested in joining?

Being an American living in Japan, I do punk rock in Japanese, but any genre is welcome, as long as you’re comfortable gigging. Please comment here or message on Instagram if you’re interested and lmk which date you’d prefer. Currently, all weekdays are open. I’ll propose a night to the venue owners when enough artists/musicians are interested. Thank you! I’m excited to see some fun, local Houston acts!

Miami/South Florida Punk/Ska/Hardcore

Hey hey! Looking for any bands who play regularly in Miami or around that general area.

I’m a California-native living in Japan but spend 4 months a year in Miami for work. Last year, I did a couple of open mics and a gig in Tampa. I do original J-punk and this time will be playing with a local drummer.

I reached out to Churchill’s and they said the best bet as a newbie is to grab a local band or few to set up a night of music. I’m there from mid-Sept to end of Oct. Anyone interested?
