Favorite budget low volume crash cymbal?

Looking for just a low volume crash with all the holes in it and on a budget (less than 100$). I don’t expect much just curious if anyone use any that sound okayish and go several months or more without breaking. I’m not in a band and just jam solo and looking to lower my crash volume.

How do you use prayer to teach a meditative state and has it helped your mental health?

I’m having a rough year with some very challenging transitions. I’ve been drawn to the Episcopal church off and on for years going a few times a year. I’d like to start going regularly like twice a month. Im in therapy and all that but sometimes I feel very tired or like things are relentless.

I got into Buddhism for awhile and really enjoyed meditation. Sitting in silence wasn’t great but I used verbal mantras and could go for 30 minutes into a semi meditative state. I’m wondering if prayer can be like this? Like not just asking for stuff or listing things I’m grateful for, though that’s a good practice. I’ve seen prayer that is recited formally in mass and in the BCP for other stuff. I’m very interested in something formal and historical that’s been used for concentration like a mantra. Also curious if anyone does this regularly and how and if it’s beneficial for your mental health. I know a rosary is also sometimes used this way? I’m very new and background is Mormon. Thanks

Normal healthy ear affected by other ears ruptured drum?

I had a severe fungal infection in my left outer ear. It finally cleared but there is a 3mm perforation slowly healing. I have an ENT that’s good and my next appointment is in June. My hearing on the left is muffled with bad tinnitus. All that stuff sucks but makes sense to me.

My right ear is normal and normal on exam. I’ve noticed my right sided hearing is warped sometimes especially in places that echo like the gym. My ear drum also spasms on the good side. It freaked me out but a few resources says that may happen on the good side as your brain adjusts to the good ear compensating and no need to worry. I’ll definitely ask the ENT but it will be a few weeks. Anyone else have weird issues on the good side opposite a ruptured eardrum?

Looking for books taking place in Maine in a small town and not something isolated deep in the woods like mystery or outdoor adventure. Ive read Empire Falls and something older by Ruth Moore that was great. Any genre is fine, maybe newer than 1800s setting.

Got moderate tinnitus a month or so prior to a very nasty ear infection. My PCP took a fast peek and a guess and gave an oral antibiotic. Didn’t work and an ER doctor couldn’t see past the cabal opening and said the pill was not the right treatment and gave me drops which helped but then my ear drum ruptured and the tinnitus started raging.

Fortunately I finally got into an ENT who finally managed to meticulously treat it and tell me what’s going on which was a severe fungal infection, TM rupture, and major hearing loss. The tinnitus is 5x worse from the ear drum rupture. The ENT said he doesn’t know if the prior tinnitus is related to infection but definitely that it’s being exacerbated. He told me he doesn’t know what the tinnitus is originally from but can heal the ear then do a hearing test and start crossing stuff off one by one.

I’m not too salty but SO happy to have someone not bullshit me or just guess at stuff even if they don’t know. And for ear infections never again going to anyone but him. Anyway, I’m curious other peoples experience that have tinnitus caused by and/or worsened by ear drum rupture or infection (otitis externa).

Went to my PCP with swelling, tinnitus, pain, and discharge in one ear. I was given an oral antibiotic for 10 days. 5 days in the canal swole shut, the discharge was very bad, and the pain was incredible. I went to the ER and thankfully the doctor was on it.

He said it was an external infection and I was on the wrong kind of antibiotic. I was given ear drop antibiotic with a steroid as well. 5 days into that the pain and discharge is less but my ear is completely swollen shut and ear drum feels possibly ruptured.

I have an ENT visit soon so I’m sure they’ll know what’s up. I’m interested in people’s healing times and any experiences with long term pain or swelling. I have had zero fever or facial swelling so I’m not too worried but the pain and discomfort has been the worst thing I’ve experienced. I’ve had surgeries, injuries, illnesses, pneumonia, blown ankles but this pain is its own level.
