Hi.I am having twitches from the past 2.5 months mostly in shoulder joint,elbow joint,calves,thigh,eyelids,cheeks.

From the past 1 month,I have to urge to swallow even with out saliva.I am swallowing atleast 3 to 4 times in a minute otherwise I feel breathing difficulty in my throat.The pills are getting stuck in my throat from the past 5 days.sometimes I slur the words but can autocorrect.Others are not noticing my slur because I get to know when I am about to slur and stop talking for a sec and continue.My front portion of the tongue feels little thick.Is it dysphagia?I am scared.

I almost have most of the bulbar symptoms and scared.

please let me know if someone have/had the same symptoms

Hi.I am having fasciculations for the past 2.5 months.I get twitches in calves,shoulder joint,biceps,elbow joints,eyelids,cheeks,sometimes throat.

I am scared of bulbar big bad:

from the past 3 days,I feel like pills get stuck in my throat and it’s not a feeling,I could clearly feel the pill get stuck.I was eating kurkure yesterday and suddenly small piece got stuck in the throat and I felt as if something is protruding out of my throat.I tried to eat banana ,I felt little tightness/pain/obstruction feeling at the point where the murkier got stuck.Today morning I took one pill and this pill also feels like got stuck in the throat.I am scared.

My other symptoms from the past 2. 5 months:

.I feel like I have to swallow/gulp with out saliva.

.When I talk,I feel breathing difficulty in my throat and have to give a pause after speaking a sentence to breath.This was not happening before

.I was unable to talk loud as before as I get pain/restrictive movement/vocal cord stiffness feeling

.I feel like my throat has been narrowed down while eating food.I feel tightness in my throat

.feels excess saliva secretions

.tingling/pulling/pins and needles sensations on the front sides and front edge of the tongue

Tongue feels thick in the front and sometimes feels difficult to talk.sometimes I slur but can autocorrect

.when I lie on my back and try to swallow saliva,I get clicking sound in the throat.I also feel like my throat muscles are very tight and obstructing air pathway.So I always try to avoid lying on my back.

please help me and let me know if some one felt the same

Hi.I am having fasciculations since 2.5 months and have twitching pretty much in many areas like shoulder,bicep,calf,hand,eyelids,cheeks.

This fasciculations always reminding me and unable to concentrate on anything.I am keeping all my works away because of the constant twitches happening in my calves and reminding me of big dad.

from the past 4 days,I am having constant twitches most of the time in my right calf and I observe them during the sleep as well if I get up for any reason and see fasciculations in my calf.
I unknowingly pressed on my calf lightly with my fingered while sitting on a chair and observed twitches internally.I could literally feel twitches with my hand when they pressed on my calf.Now I got scared that I have twitches almost 24/7 it seems on my right calf with most of the time can be clearly seen with an eye and can feel the muscle movement ,and the remaining less time would be internal ongoing twitches with out being seen outside.

I am scared and I am assuming I have The 3 letter word.I am having stiffness as well in my calf and feels tight.Did any one have this symptoms?

Hi,37M.While talking ,I feel like my tongue is thick and somewords slur but can autocorrect.I clearly feel the difference that I cannot talk fast as how I used to talk before.It feels like my tongue (especially the front portion of tongue)does not allow me to speak

I have needles and pins/vibrationss/pulling sensation in the front of the tongue.

I get twitches on my cheeks several times in a day as well as my eyes also twiches.

My throat feels stiff and feels suffocated while talking.My voice has also reduced as I can’t talk like how I used to talk before.I feel like my throat narrows down and gets stiff while talking and feels breathing difficulty.I can’t speak or read 2 sentences continuously with out taking a break for breathing which is not the case befire.My vocal cords also pains sometimes even when I am talking slow.

all these symptoms point towards bulbar and I am scared

sometimes I feel like something is moving on my cheeks

I have twitches in shoulders,calf,hands,butt,back,chest ,palm and get jerks in hands,feet.I am scared

Hi.When I talk,I get tak tak sound from my mouth ,probably because my tongue touches the roof and makes sound.This was never before and has started from the past 1 month.My tongue feels thick and sometimes I feel like I am slurring and can autocorrect .This makes me scared as this could be bulbar big bad.

My fasciculations have started 2.5 months ago and have wide spread twitches mostly on shoulders,thigh,calf,eyes,cheeks.

Does any ones tongue makes tak tak sound while talking?

my twitches have started 2.5 months ago and gradually progressed to many parts of my body with common hotspots being shoulders,biceps,thighs,left eyelids,some twitches on cheeks.

bulbar symptoms:initial to progression

*when I lie down on my back,I feel difficulty swallowing and feels throat tightness and as if something is protruding out of my throat.I also get clicking sound while swallowing.I get this feeling while standing or sitting as well now a days

*I feel narrowing down in my throat while eating

*I am unable to talk loud as I used to before

**I am unable to talk a sentence with out breathing air.I feel like I need to give a pause after speaking short sentence ,breath air and continue

*I tried to sing a small song but still I couldn’t sing one line continuously as I felt suffocation in my throat

*I feel my airways are blocked if I open my mouth to speak and cannot talk a medium sentence as I feel urge to breath and then continue the talk.

*I feel my vocal cords are stiff

*My tongue feels thick feeling in the front portion and also I always feel tingling/needles and pains/vibration sensations in the front portion of the tongue

*Sometimes I feel like I am slurring but can autocorrect the word

*sometimes I get frog sound in my throat while opening mouth or while eating/swallowing

*I feel my throat is gradually getting blocked

*My biggest concern is breathing difficulty while talking because I feel my airways are blocked when I open my mouth and can’t talk as I will be short of breath at that time

Does any one have constant tongue pulling/needles and pins/Burning sensation /vibrations on the tip of the tongue and also sides of the tongue.

I have this sensations for almost a week and it’s constant and I am scared.I do have all other symptoms which I described in my earlier posts.Its bothering me a lot and really scared

Hi.Does anyone experience vibrations /tingling or pulling sensation/pins and needles in the front portion of the tongue and also front side edges of both sides of the tongue.

does anyone experience the below symptoms as well.

I am really scared as I constantly feel vibrations and can visibly see in the mirror as well.I have body wide twitching along with face.This freaks me out and I have all the bulbar symptoms like tightness in the throat while swallowing,can’t talk loud,breathing difficulty while talking,difficulty reading fast as I used to do before,sometimes words trip and can autocorrect later,My tongue touches roof when I talk and get talk talk sound,more saliva secretions.

what worries me more is I get weird sound few times from my throat when I swallow food.I am not sure if it is a gurgling sound which is one of the symptoms of Bulb…

I get sudden twitches/pop ups/shooting twitches on cheeks often

Hi.I am 37 M.My fasciculations had started on april 10 just on one finger and gradually appeared on every part of the body within 2 weeks.I mostly feel them on my shoulders,hands,thighs,feet,left eye and sometimes on face,throat,cheeks.I observed today that when I lift my both hands ,My only left index finger twitches and it happened several times in a day.

I notice as soon as I get up that my right side bicep twitches everyday and feels like shakiness.I cover light blanket on my body and i notice my banket towards the right bicep side vibrates(Muscle movement make it move)

Bulb…symptoms:

**I have breathing difficulty while talking.I feel like I am short of breath while talking and want to give pause and breathe.It wasn’t happening before

**I can’t talk louder as I used to do one month before.I get pain or cough like symptoms if I talk loud
**When I lie down on my back ,I feel like my throat is stiff and get clicking sound when I swallow saliva.I prefer to lie down on my side as lying on my back causes suffication and feels like bone is protruding out from my throat.I woke up in the night 2 days ago with choking in my throat(felt like my throat became stiff and I am short of breath).This even sometimes happen while sitting with slight head down

***My tip of the tongue and sides of the tongue feel like tingling /pins or needles and I see small vibrations when I put my tongue out

**when I eat food,It feels like my throat has narrowed down and feels tight while swallowing.

***Sometimes,more saliva secretions.

please help me as I am scared and i convinced that I have bulb..and will leave this world in one year.I am crying every day

Hi.Please let me know if someone has experienced the same as I am scared of big bad.I am M37

My fasciculations have started one month ago in one hand and then progressed to whole body in 2 weeks.I get more fasciculations repeated on shoulders,side elbow,thighs,left eye mostly twitches.

On top of that,I get jerk movements in my hands ,wrist,calf,feet for a second and it happens many times in a day.when I get up,I always feel my right shoulder and upper arm twitches continuously until I move(It feels like heart beat).

I get sounds from my stomach many times in a day and I feel fasciculations on my stomach as well.I am scared as I have fasciculations most of the time in many parts of the body.

In addition to that,I feel vibrations or something crawling feeling on legs,hands,feet many times in a day.

I get sharp pain (feels like hot flash/electric pulse) on calf,hands,feet sometimes in a day

I am unable to concentrate on my work and life and always thinks it’s my near end and miss my family

I want to add that I feel my calf’s are stiff and feel heavy while walking.I have shoulder pain for many months and my right hand and wrist feels little heavy

my fasciculations have started one month ago as a small twitch in one finger and with in days to whole body and then vibration feeling as well as fasciculations .

currently,I have more frequent or constant vibration feeling on my both legs at the same time(scaring me more as it’s happening on both the legs at the same time as bfs would not happen in multiple places at once) and also some times on hand along with pop up twitching in multiple parts of the body.I have hot flash feeling on my hands and shoulder sometimes.

Its freaking me because I have vibration feeling on both the legs at the same time and hot flash(sun burn feeling or sharp electric pulses) on my right hand and shoulder.Sometimes I feel them on my left foot and leg as well.

whole body shaking:

I noticed that when I go to bed,my whole body shakes for few seconds to minute and what I feel is ,I always sleep on my right side and my right shoulder twitches very fast and it makes my whole body shake for few seconds to minute

Hi.I have fasciculations for the past one month and gradually progressing.Initially started in one hand,then to legs ,face,throat,feet,foot,eyes,neck,shoulders,chin etc.

From the past 4 days,I have almost constant left eye twitching /right eye twitching which is freaking me out.

I get sudden jerky shaky movements in my arms,hand,feet,knees briefly.I get vibration feelings/something crawling on my legs/arms feeling.I have hotspots on my right triceps and arm.When I get up,I feel something is moving up and down on my right arm continuously for some time like how a heart beats

Sometimes,I feel sharp pain or electric shock sensations on my foot ,legs for the past 2 days and i feel burning sensation in that areas.I am scared as hell.Does anyone have this symptoms

Hi.Can you all move your tongue fast side to side?I am scared that I am doing side to side very slow.I have fasciculations all over my body and on my face,eyelids as well.so scary as hell

Hi.I am male 37.I have heaviness feeling in my head for almost 20 years now because of childhood head trauma and MRI were normal except the one I had in October 2025 which showed non significant white matter lesions in my brain parenchyma and my neuro dismissed it as migraine.

coming to the point,My muscle twitches started on April 10 ,2026 on my index finger when I got up.Slowly with in 3 days it has spread to few other parts like hand,thigh and they I had an EMG on April 20,with in 10 days of starting my fasciculations.Now my twitches have become even more and could visibly see everywhere like they pop up for few seconds on most of the body like between index and middle finger,hand,bicep,triceps,elbow,shoulder,left eyelid,back,calf,thigh,quad,feet and below the feet.
sometimes I feel jerky moments on my feet and hand as if they shake my hand or feet like a sudden jerk.I am more worried like I have big daddy.recently I feel my throat has narrowed down while eating meaning I feel I put extra effort to swallow and feels like food is passing through the throat with little restriction,something getting sticky in the throat feeling,when I lay down on my back I feel my neck and muscles are very tight and get clicking sound while swallowing.

concerns:

I feel like I did EMG very early with in 10 days of my fasciculations have started.I should have done it after atleast 3 months.because my twitches have spreaded to various parts after that and developed jerky movements as well

i get popping sound when i move my legs,hands

I had child hood head trauma and I feel I am more prone to these diseases

My right palm and wrist always feels heavy and I hold something on my left hand and right hand,my right hand feels heavy even though I am right handed

I used to walk on treadmill for 35 minutes straight on incline 8 in the gym few weeks ago and I am having tightness in my calf’s and legs and if I walk for 15 minutes even on zero incline,I get stiffness and pain in my knees and feet .

my right hand always feels heavy or light feeling and have shoulder issues

Hi.I am scared of bulbar big daddy.It started with twitch on my right index finger 4 weeks back and then it started having on my entire body Includes eyes,chin,hand,legs,butt,back,under the feet.Sonetimes as soon as I go to bed,I feel like my body shakes for a while.from the past 1 month,I feel like my left leg is little stiff.I was able to walk for 30 minutes on thread mill 15 days ago but now I am feeling leg stiffness and can’t walk fast as I do before .I have difficulty while try to jog as well as I feel my leg is heavy.

lately from past 10 days,I feel like my throat is narrowing progressively day by day.when I swallow food,it feels like my throat tightens a lot internally.I hear clicking sound as well when I swallow saliva.i feel difficulty in swallowing while lying on my back.I did EMG test immediately within 1 week of starting my fasciculations and 2 days before of starting my bulbar symptoms.I feel like I did my test too early.

my voice has also become slightly roughy from the past one week and when I talk,I feel breathing difficulty sometimes

i am feeling very low and convinced that I have bulb… big daddy as I have difficulty in my throat and it feels stiff and hears clicking noise while swallow and tightness while swallowing food

Hi.On April 10,when I got up I have noticed twitching in my right index finger and slowly with in 5 days,fasciculations have started all over my body and also worms crawling under my skin.They are consistent and it happens every where like shoulders,arms,hand,face,legs,lips and almost everywhere.I will get them even while I am working on my desk and when I go to bed,they become more and sometimes I feel like my legs are shaking with the twitches.My hands and legs feels weak as if I have less energy but can lift normal weights.I have stiffness in my legs and while walking I feel like I can’t walk fast as before I used to.I get popping sound sometimes in my hands,legs,shoulders even with slight movement.Immefiately I went to my GP and she referred me to Neuromuscular doctor and got appointment on April 20 and the neurologist did EMG and NCT on both legs and hands and she said I don’t have ALS.I started developing clicking sound while swallowing on April 21 (the day after EMG) and it has become worse on today(April 25) that I feel difficulty swallowing and while eating as well.more saliva secretions on tongue.I feel like food get stuck while eating .I am scared of ALS.I feel breathing difficuluty as well when I open mouth and talk.I am 37M and live in canada.Even when I lay down,I get clicking sound when swallowing saliva and feel difficult some times.I get sound in my throat when I try to drink water.I feel like I did EMG test too early with in 10 days of starting my fasciculations as I read few posts of ALS diagnosed people that their first EMG was good.I feel like I have bulbar onset started as I have fasciculations on my cheeks and face as well.

bulbar symptoms:

sometimes when I open my mouth and talk,I feel like my airways blocked and unable to breathe.Clicking sound in my throat while swallowing.I feel difficulty to swallow food as if something is obstructing in the throat and tight feeling.When I lie on my back and lay down,I feel it’s little difficult to swallow saliva.Sometimes while eating,I feel like food gets stuck in throat
