So I’m starting training in August, which is also the same month when my contract with the trust I’m in is done. I decided to hand in my notice to leave earlier, around mid-late June, as I need a couple of surgeries and procedures that I’ve been holding on for a long time due to work and exams pressures.

I got confirmation that my contract should now be done on the 18th of June, which is basically what I wanted. I was asked to book the rest of my annual leaves ASAP, and I decided to book the entirety of my last week at work which got approved.

Fast forward to today, I get an email from HR telling me that she just found out I’m actually entitled to less leaves (9.5 days instead of 12.5? I also bought extra annual leaves earlier this year, a total of 5 days for a whole year, and she hasn’t commented on them at all.)

I asked her what does this mean and why she decided to tell me that on my “last week at work”, when I’m literally going home on Friday to go under the knife literally NEXT WEEK for my first surgery, alongside shit loads of queries about her sudden discovery as you’d expect, and all what she responded with in email was “I have no idea, I’ll ask the medical workforce team. They should be back to the office tomorrow”.

Mind y’all, the medical workforce team in general , and ESPECIALLY this HR, are the absolute most dreadful, worst and slowest people on the planet! They’re so notorious for responding to email weeks, even MONTHS later, about critical contractual matters and whatnot!

I have absolutely no idea what to do. I’m already stressed to death about my procedure next week, and then this nonsense happens!! She’s already put me back on the rota sheet for the 18th without even telling me, and I just had it with this trust and whole place in general!

I’m also worried they may take a massive chunk out of my final salary with the trust, which I’m already anticipating to be low considering we get paid on the 26th of each month, and I was already primed to leave on the 18th? Like, what if they decide “You either work or we’ll cut your pay even further more”?

Can I involve the BMA in this? Any recommendations?!

My guitars!

Thought I’d come down and flaunt my Schecter Synyster Gates Custom S Dark Earth ver. (In almost mind condition.) and my new Schecter Zacky Vengeance H6LLYW66D-S in pristine condition.

The Syn Gates is signed by everyone in Avenged Sevenfold. Traveled to Istanbul last year and was lucky enough to get a Meet and Greet as part of the Deathbats Club raffle! Syn told me I was a lucky bastard for having the Dark Earth and said he ain’t even sure he’s still got that one with him! I did some tweaks on the guitar where I swapped the black Seymour Duncan Invader with the black Synbucker on the bridge, and added some color to the guitar with some knob replacements. All original parts, including the Invader, are still with me. No hits, dents or major damages to the guitar, which is amazing considering this masterpiece is turning 10 years old this year!

The H6LLYW66D plays like a dream! The Sustainiac on a non-FR guitar is something I wished to have for years now, so the fact that Schecter is now providing it on a signature guitar for one of my heroes is something amazing as well!
