Something I’ve noticed across Star Wars media: conversations spoken in Basic by one participant and Huttese by the other.

Of course this originates with Han and Greedo, but that can likely be explained by their unwillingness to indulge one another by speaking in the other’s native tongue. But can anyone think of a reason why two beings on good terms wouldn’t just pick just one of those languages which they both obviously know to communicate with? I guess it’s cultural, but what would the underlying reasoning be, I wonder. Maybe the Huttese speaker must speak only Huttese for cultural reasons, but why then would the Basic speaker not use Huttese as well when speaking to them?

In the US, how silly can you get when writing a will while having it still be legally binding?

For instance, could I say that if I died while wearing a red shirt that my stuff will go to one person, but otherwise it goes to another?

I noticed that the Canon article for Dathomirians on Wookieepedia calls them a subspecies of Zabrak, rather than Human-Zabrak hybrids as they were in Legends. Does anyone know which entry in Canon established this?

Can’t think of more to add that the title doesn’t already cover except that I find it interesting since this would make Morgan Elsbeth a Zabrak despite looking very, very human.

Star Wars Outlaws is great and I’m disappointed we’re not getting a sequel.

I picked it up on sale a week or so ago and it’s a solid A in my book. I’m coping by telling myself the sequel would probably be ruined by some scummy decision or another since this is Ubisoft we’re talking about. Sour grapes and all that. But part of me still wants more.

Edit: Reddit’s being wonky and not letting me actually see replies outside of my notifications in order to reply to them, but people are asking what I liked about it and I’ve come to the realization that, while this was a new experience for me, many of you are already bored of the formula. So to answer the question: I like it for the same reason you liked these Ubisoft open-world games the first time you played them.

On top of that, I’m a big Star Wars fan, and I really enjoyed the stories and ideas this added to the universe. Star Wars is like a mental toy box for me, I like adding cool things to that box.

Did kyber crystals still find their way into the hands of force-sensitives some way after the destruction of the Jedi Order and, more to the point, after the destruction of Illum?

I guess what I’m essentially asking is: If you were a force-sensitive with no access to Illum, would you likely never have the opportunity to build a lightsaber?
