Automation problem with camera trigger

Hi all,

I have a homekit connected Aqara G100 camera and their Thread enabled light switch in a hallway. The automation I said up is to turn on the light when movement is detected and turn it off after x minutes.

My problem is that it does turn off, but it immediately turns on again. The only explanation I have for it is that turning off the light is also a trigger for the camera (technically movement) and with some delay that creates a loop.

Is there a way you can solve this other than buying an additional PIR sensor i.e.?

Best,

Nick

Replacement part Mathmos GU10 light

Hi all, in record time 2 Mathmos lights broke down on me and I'm seeing replacement cost to be hefty. But when I search for regular GU10 35mm halogen lamp I find cheap ones. I presume this is fine to use too, but any of you have experience?

Thread network down, again!

Hi, I have had multiple instances that my thread network is down. Which is weird, because all accessories are connected to the G5 in the garden and multiple door window sensors close, so it should daisy chain?

I even bought a M100 hub additionally, but again it’s down. Restarting the G5 also didn’t seem to work.

Anyone tips to make the thread network stable? As I use it as alarm… 🚨

Alarm set up when set to away doesn’t work

Hi guys, I want that when I activate away in apple home that when a door / window is opened - the alarm is triggered. I think I’m there, but it doesn’t work. Any tips?

Also, I would like to add camera movement as a trigger but doesn’t seem to find it in aqaras app.

Is there a device that allows these type of shades to be opened and closed through Apple home? I saw the Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 - but it seems to work with those ball-type strings only?

Trap lakken nieuwbouw

Why the F… can’t a doorbell be a trigger in Automations?

I have a doorbell from Aqara. And I can’t set up an automation “When doorbell is rung”. That’s ridiculous. I can’t think of a single reason other than not having done it for Apple to not allow this.

Use case would be flashing lights when doorbell is clicked. Handy when someone doesn’t hear the chime.

Change hub into another one

Hi, for a thread device I want to change an existing Aqara device from hub a to b due to connectivity. Is it possible to easily change this in the app?

Can’t seem to be able to find it in the app. Help much appreciated
