Would a Gateway XB8 allow for a phone to work with Google Voice?

I have Xfinity and wanted to have a landline phone essentially for emergency situations but I don’t want to add phone service through xfinity but I also don’t want to have to subscribe to magic jack. I don’t want to worry about keeping a device on and charged at all times either. I have a VTECH cordless phone tucked away. Is there anyway I can make that work?

Home phone type of device but not a landline or subscription?

I’m sure that there is an answer to this question but my brain is not letting me figure it out and it’s probably a simple answer.
I really struggle with somebody needing me for an emergency (small kids etc) and not being able to reach me, but at the same time I desperately want to start turning my cell phone off. I get so easily distracted and waste a lot of time. I do not want to have a landline, but I wasn’t sure if I could link an app or something to Alexa so that I could maybe forward calls to a Google Voice number or something so that I wouldn’t miss important stuff.

Does this exist?

Townhouse backyard partition ideas

This is the backyard for the townhouses where I live (rented) and I need a non-permanent suggestion for the left side of the yard. Normally another fence like the one on the right hand side would separate my yard from my neighbor to my left but because it was damaged before I moved in it’s been explained to me that it does not need to be replaced. So I have tried different things over the years to try to create some sort of barrier, but typically it’s always lacking in height. I have some raised garden beds on the left that I will be getting rid of soon, along with the bike tent that is in the top left of the photo. I would very much like to enclose this with something that’s at least 8 feet tall. In a perfect world I would like the entire span of the left side roughly the length of the fence on the right, and the. a portion running left to right. I need to make sure there is access for the landscapers to mow so if there was something retractable that would even be better because I could close off entirely when I want to. I included a picture of one option but I think this would need to be reinforced to prevent it from leaning. So if anyone has any experience with this or type of item or can suggest something else I would really appreciate it.

Looking for a great face paint kit

I will be volunteering to do some face painting at a pretty large elementary school for field day. Can anyone recommend a good sized kit that would have good pigment, good ease of use in a lot of color options? I want to make sure I am fully prepared. It’s not until June 12th so I do have some time for shipping.

Between my kids and I we have a lot of hair and with that comes various brushes and tools. I wanted to find a way to keep them easily accessible hut organized , preferably wall mounted. I’ve tried a few different ways but it just looks messy. Ideally I would like something that has deeper sections so a flat iron/curling iron etc can have the cord wrapped around it and be fit in nicely. But also be deep enough so that more than half of the iron is contained so that they don’t topple out. Same idea with the hair brushes but that’s been harder since they’re typically top heavy. I was thinking of something along the lines of a tin foil/plastic wrap/ wax paper type of wall storage but just not quite as tall.

Secondly, I bought a Brother Label maker P-touch cube and a small variety of different color/various sized label cartridges. Can anyone recommend a storage bag or maybe a hard shell case? I would like to keep it all together so it is easy to transport around with me as I try to organize things.

I’ve been overthinking these things for a while so I would be grateful for any suggestions.
