So I’ll have a change of employment soon and I’m wondering if I have to fill out that form from their website, notarize it and bring it in personally to 1PP or if there’s another way to do this perhaps online.
On the form it does say to call the renewals phone number for instructions but of course, no one picks up.
Also, do you have to do this with your new job ID in hand or can you do this before hand. I don’t imagine I’ll have a morning or afternoon off starting a new position to go to 1PP.

If you’re already a peace officer for the city of NY in a different capacity and you’re in your late 40s, is there an option for a waiver for NYPD? Someone told me that it was true. I disagreed, but thought I should ask more people in this forum?

I’ve been appointed to the NYC Corrections academy starting June 18th which is at the NYPD academy in college point. I haven’t been able to find out any details on the parking situation and only found a few previous posts from years ago on here. Can anyone share any info on where we can park for day 1 at the academy? Will I need to car pool to get into a specific lot? Would anyone reading this benefit from a car pool within reasonable distance?

I was going to do a dry run before, but I figured I’d get some intel from here first before hand.

Can someone clarify if there are any regulations regarding specific placement of your lock box in your car? Can I anchor the box under my seat with a locking cable or does it have to be in the trunk specifically?
