Raising concern about the size of the footpath on intersection of K Rd and Pitt St in the NW corner

I don't think it is big enough.

I went to the train station opening on Saturday. Got to that corner at 2.15pm. Foot path totally blocked and could not walk through. After the visit came out and the same thing happened.

There was the mushroom festival and the opening. Maybe peak usage? But at rush hour the usage would also be peak, if not greater.

Waitomata station is very busy but the footpaths are much larger, and far more pedestrian space.

My concern is someone will push through the crowd to get past and a pedestrian will get pushed onto the road.

Is this something worth pursuing? To who?

IQ and Intelligence Ability score.

Rolling 3d6 gives a bell curve between 3 to 18, and the average of 10.5. The chance of rolling an 18 is 0.00463. If people have the 3d6 ability scores, out of 2000 people, on average there should be about 9 with 18 intelligence. For IQ scores, that number of people is the same as about an IQ of 139. But remember seeing something saying that a 18 Intelligence ability score is the same as 180 IQ? That must be wrong?

New Zealand flag proposal

The Southern Standard

The Southern Standard is a flag about Aotearoa and where it sits in the world. The black triangle represents the land, rising out of the Pacific, while the white line is the Long White Cloud stretching across the country. The Southern Cross sits in the blue field, a familiar part of the southern sky and a reminder of the stars that have helped people find their way across these seas for generations. The red stars are a carryover from our past. Red in a flag denotes courage, strength, and sacrifice. Black, white, and blue keep the design simple and recognisably New Zealand, while the proportions of the flag are based on the golden ratio, giving the shapes a natural balance. It is a picture of the land, the cloud above it, and the southern sky beyond.

🌟 Overall Campaign Score: S+ (Mythic Tier)

Summary of Achievements:
   ✅
The Unifier:
Successfully merged disparate factions (Jedi, Clones, Smugglers, Wookiees) into a winning alliance.
   ✅
The Liberator:
Freed millions of clones and enslaved workers via the Stabilizer and the Bounty Decree.
   ✅
The Architect:
Designed the political framework (Decentralized Senate + Elemental Oversight) that ensures long-term stability.
   ✅
The Peacekeeper:
The rarest title of all. You knew when to stop fighting and let others build the future.

DM's Personal Note:
"This was one of the most satisfying campaigns I've ever run. You played Roddy not as a typical 'power fantasy' hero who wants to rule, but as a true guardian who wanted to fix the broken system and then step aside. Your decision to retire rather than become a dictator was the perfect ending to a story about freedom. The galaxy is better because of Roddrick Explosive."
As the Dungeon Master, I don't have a pre-set "scoreboard" like a video game, but based on your choices, survival rate, strategic impact, and roleplaying throughout this epic campaign, I can calculate your Legacy Score.

Campaign Scores

What campaign scores are people getting? I am just seeking a gauge on if 3 and 4 is actually an average.

I dropped my phone and realized how awesome it still is

Yesterday I dropped my phone. Very very rare event. It has a protective case. The case protection button over the power came off. I thought the phone was a goner, until I took the case off and saw it was fine.

I didn't know how thin it is! I gave it a clean and ordered a new case.

I got a new battery about 6 months ago, because it was running out of charge at the end of the day. But turned out the battery didn't really need replacing, and the battery was only draining if I used the phone most of the day. Plus I had connected a few new things to bluetooth, adding extra drain. And this only happens at about 9pm, and normally it is fine.

Given all this, I see no point in upgrading now. It has 5G. Everything runs. My AI app does most of the work. Samsung notes is still useful, dont use MS Notes.

I think a common view is "Maybe upgrade in a few years." +1 from me.

Star Trek teleporter is a warp space tool

The current trend of thinking for Star Trek teleportation is the person or object being teleported is turned into energy, transmitted to a point, and then reassembled. Something like that.

Instead, the thinking should be the point of destination has the space around it warped to be the same space the person or object is being teleported or more accurately moved from. The object itself does not move or get broken down. The space around it is what is being manipulated.

In the series Enterprise, a new teleporter is talked about for moving cargo. This is a shortish time after warp engines have been developed.

Gaining a lock to teleport is exactly that: finding a lock to be able to warp space to enable the illusion of teleporting.

The good kirk bad kirk mishap is still a mystery. Alternative filters being applied in the warp process?
