alright so I find this quite embarrassing and honestly I don’t know why but I’m a little bit shocked.

Recently I went on a language trip with my friend to California, We are both 16 years old.
Usually when you travel with a language trip you get placed in local host families and me and my friend got placed in a really nice family that also had four other people doing the same as us (aka deciding to stay with a host family)

There were four other people that also were staying but we especially got to know that one guy that also was from Europe, let’s just call him David.

Now, David was very nice to us and the host family. He always wanted the best for us and he always tried to help if he could. After one week of staying together we started bonding more and we started to talk about our personal life’s more and more.

It got to a point that we were sitting in the living room couch until 5am almost everyday, either just goofing around or talking about our personal life and struggles. Usually around 2 am the friend I was traveling with decides to go to bed. When he leaves it’s just me and David in the room.

This happened a lot and there were many times me and David eventually just feel asleep on the couch.
One night, after we talked i fell asleep around 3 a.m., and around an hour later I woke up laying on his shoulder while holding hands… I still don’t know how or why it happened but it just did for some reason.

The next night me and David were talking as always. Same thing as always, my friend goes to bed and it’s just us two in the living room. This time we sat more closer to each other and we started to go closer to each other.

The next day we went and did normal activities together just the three of us. Like for an example walking down the beach. But me and David were a little bit more closer, and we looked each other in the eyes more when we were having a conversation.

When the night came and we were sitting on the couch. me and David suddenly «unaware» started cuddling more. He started to like stroke my arm more and I started doing the same thing back. Then it suddenly escalated, our faces started getting closer and closer, then i suddenly started gently kissing him on the neck. We were both pretty shocked since both of us are straight and we have never been in a situation like this before. But then he just accepted it and we started making out…

The next few days were cool, we started cuddling more and stuff but then me and my friend had to leave. I still have contact with him but not in a romantic way, more like in a «I miss you» way.

I have never had any thoughts about being gay and I’ve had several girlfriends before, and I have no thoughts about other guys or anything like that at all. That’s why It came so unexpectedly. I still don’t think im gay but I don’t regret that we made out.
All of this was around 2 weeks ago and I still only think about girls and I’ve never watched gay pornography or anything like that.
