Can I make chunky yarn look like this by somehow adding thread around it?

Tried searching for this but nothing comes up. How do I add thread around chunky yarn to give this effect?

Fitbit Versa 2 clockfaces

Hi, I can't seem to find the customised clockfaces anymore on my fitbit app. How do I see all the different clockfaces that I could buy years ago? I only see maybe 20 faces and thats it.

Prefer sewing on a cheaper sewing machine?

I recently got a Husqvarna Designer Topaz 50 that sews and embroiders and I tried sewing things with it which turned out fine but its so automatic so I brought out my Husqvarna Viking emerald 116 for sewing and will keep the Topaz for machine embroidery.

Has anyone else found themselves in this situation where the newer fancier more expensive machine is harder to communicate to?

I know I'll learn using it more and better the more I use it for sewing, it has a bunch of automatic stuff like it tells you which feet to use, what stitch length and whatnot or foot pressure, but idk I thought id enjoy that but maybe I dont. 😆

Am I weird and alone in this?

Help! Storage for 100s of thread spools?

I have hundreds of thread spools and need help for storage and how to have it all visible in my hobby room.

I got given 100s of threadspools from a widow who had a wife who taught sewing in school. I didn't photograph all the spools but it's a lot. Even these big overlocker threads. I have a hobby room and there's no window so they won't get sun damaged but I would love some kind of visible storage so I could see all the thread at once, when I need to pick a thread. Also I don't have tonnes of floor space available since my hobby room is small.

Any advice??

I'm looking at buying this, found someone selling it for 600 bucks, thats a good price?

I have some questions since I'm a beginner.

I haven't done machine embroidery but it seems like this one has that you can upload designs you want onto a USB stick and then embroider them?

Does anyone know if its system works well and its easy to get the programs needed downloaded for free and then making them work on the machine?

I really want to start doing embroidery that looks good and isn't done by hand.

Thank you
