Real talk

Do you guys think that the "infinite potential" statement Jake got also applies to Kitae? Or is it something that only Gapryong's children that have conviction will have?

Don't you guys think that this is forced as hell?

I saw a post on the main sub and I agree with it, tbh It's forced as shit imo lmao

2nd panel worked because those people were still naive kids just starting their lives on a world very different that they knew, they didn't know how shitty everything would turn out to be. They still somewhat had his romantic view of it all.

Pre gen panel is just a bunch of fucking criminals fighting people who are less worse than them.

Those are the strongest characters in lookism, taking into account only narrative+statements

Argue with the manhwa

We can all agree that those are the top 19 strongest characters, right?

Any chance that we are gonna see this dude break someone like a twig?

My bet it's that he will do it on that fat Yamazaki

Do you guys think that we're ever gonna see James having a white hair look?

Black is cool and all, but I feel like he looks to much like Daniel.

white hair would look really cool on him, it would also go really well with the angel/god motif that PTJ likes to portray him with

Seongji=Mujin? I don't think so

IMO, this is a clear case where the narrative and statements directly contradict what is actually shown in the story.

If we strictly follow the narrative, it implies that Seongji was pretty much on Mujin's level. However, if we judge him solely by what was shown on the panels, he simply wasn't.

James compared his "incomplete Cheonliang self" to a TUI Gun. While TUI Gun is undoubtedly a top-tier, he is still a tier below a Gapryong-level fighter like Mujin.

Why is that? Look no further than the statement regarding UI Daniel during the 1A arc:

"I would like to see him fight against the legendary fist (Gapryong) himself..."

This line essentially places UI Daniel on the same level as Gapryong. And since UI Daniel soundly defeated TUI Gun...you know what I'm trying to say here, right?

GapUI Daniel>Cheonliang JamesTUI Gun>Seongji

Therefore, while Seongji is a toptier, he is not on the same level as Mujin and the other generational legends despite what James stans and Seongji fans claim.

This is a prime example of why power scaling just a waste of time, the author simply doesn't prioritize power scaling. If PTJ wants a character to look strong or weak for a specific reason, he will write them that way, even if it means throwing out consistency or using empty statements just to generate hype.

Instead, Seongji is clearly inspired by the "Tragic Genius" and "What Could Have Been" tropes. The audience is meant to feel a sense of loss over the fact that he died before ever reaching his true ceiling...a celing where he would have been equal to or stronger than Mujin.

it is far more accurate to view Seongji as a tragic prodigy who never realized his full strength, rather than someone who was already equal to Mujin. At best, his level puts him on par with Tom Lee, acting as somn sort of gatekeeper to the the true generational legends.

James being the final villain would be really good narratively wise, because he's lookism personified

There is simply no point in arguing otherwise.

He is portrayed as the perfect human being, excelling at everything he does.

In-universe characters constantly praise and admire him for his looks and his (fake)personality.

He is an individual so uniquely gifted that when he fights, others describe him as akin to a god. He embodies the entire premise of the story and our society itself.

Why would anyone not want him to be the final villain? He is the ultimate wall Daniel must scale to finally rise above the literal(not really literal, but you get the idea) human personification of lookism, which is James!

"Lookism" which is the very thing that has plagued Daniel for half of his life!

What do you guys think he was going to say here? What are your theories about the James&Gap connection?

Imo there's three ways routes in which this can go. I will also put my thoughts on each of them.

"James Lee and Gapryong Kim!!! Are father and son! James wants to revive him!"

The "revive" here is metaphorical, with Daniel most likely taking the place of Gapryong against the "great evil"

Or maybe James himself wants to take the place of Gap and be the hero? Who knows?

James being Gap's child? Jinyoung said that the truth would be shocking...but I don't think this would be THAT surprising, Gapryong was a known womanizer, so why would it be shocking if him and James were related?

It would def be a surprise for Kitae tho 😭

What would be shocking imo is if James is trying to literally revive Gapryong instead of metaphorically doing it through Daniel.

This would also go really nicely with the theory of Gapryong being stuck in the 2nd body/big Daniel

"James Lee and Gapryong Kim!!! Are allies! James Is Elite!

James being Elite has such a massive amount of foreshadowing that it genuinely feels like a red herring, but it does this job of being a shocking revelation to the characters in verse, to us readers? Not really.

James and Gap being allies It's extremely doubful, because that would massively skew Jinyoung's perception of Gap, which we know has been portrayed quite positively so far in Jinyoung's pov.

However, it will certainly do their job of being a surprise for both the readers and the characters...it would also be a massive retcon.

"James Lee and Gapryong Kim!!! Are the same people! James is Gapryong's 2nd body!

Straight up dogshit, If PTJ does this he would certainly cement his status as the worst manhwa writer of all time.

What are your thoughts people?
