How Heat Waves Weaken Immunity and Increase Infection Risk

How Heat Waves Weaken Immunity and Increase Infection Risk

This heat completely drained me last week 🥵

Constant headaches, low energy, and dehydration made me realise how badly heat waves affect the body now.

Thyroid problems are so sneaky

One day you’re fine… then suddenly you’re always tired, gaining weight, losing hair, feeling moody, and wondering why your body feels “off.”

I seriously thought stress was causing everything until I got my thyroid checked.

Anyone else got diagnosed way later than they should have?

Delhi heat is getting out of control

Stepping outside feels like opening an oven door. Even the wind feels hot now. ACs are running nonstop, roads look empty in the afternoon, and somehow we’re still sweating after taking a shower 😭

I honestly don’t remember summers being THIS bad before. How are you all surviving this Delhi heatwave? Any hacks besides staying glued to the AC and drinking cold water all day?

Anyone Else’s Skin Freaking Out in This Heat?

This heat is actually becoming unbearable 😭

I’ve suddenly started getting itchy skin, tiny rashes, redness, and sweating like crazy even indoors. Never had this much skin irritation before summers got this intense.

Is anyone else dealing with heat rashes or random skin allergies lately? What’s actually helping powders, loose clothes, cold showers, changing soaps, anything?

Feels like my skin is angry 24/7 now

So PCOS is now called PMOS? Anyone else confused

I just came across news that PCOS is now being renamed to PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome), and honestly the new name actually makes more sense.

A lot of people used to think PCOS was only about ovaries or irregular periods, but it also affects:

  1. Weight
  2. Hormones
  3. Skin & acne
  4. Hair fall
  5. Mood swings
  6. Insulin resistance
  7. Metabolism

So I guess the new name is trying to explain the condition better and show that it’s not “just a period issue.”

At first I thought PMOS was a completely new disease

But it’s basically the updated name for PCOS.

Do you think this rename will actually help people understand the condition better? Or will it just make everyone more confused for the next few years?

Also curious:

When did you first hear about PMOS?

Do you prefer the old name PCOS or the new PMOS?

I think my job is slowly messing with my head… and the weird part is, nothing major is even going wrong.

Like I’ll log in and instantly feel this pressure in my chest. No urgent emails, no angry boss, no deadlines on fire… but still my brain acts like I’m about to get in trouble.

I keep rechecking my work 3–4 times before sending it. Slack/Teams notification sound = mini heart attack. Even when I’m done for the day, my mind keeps replaying tasks like “did I miss something?” or “what if I messed up?”

Weekends aren’t even fully relaxing anymore because Sunday night anxiety hits hard for no clear reason.

Is this normal work stress or something more like anxiety?

How do you guys switch off your brain after work?

Would love to know if I’m the only one dealing with this or not 😅

Hey everyone,

So I’ve been trying to eat healthier and increase my protein intake (more eggs, paneer, protein shakes, etc.)

But recently I came across a few posts saying that too much protein can affect thyroid function… and now I’m confused.

I don’t have any diagnosed thyroid issue (at least not that I know of), but I do feel tired sometimes and my weight fluctuates a bit. Not sure if it’s related or I’m just overthinking

Some questions I have:

  1. Can eating high protein actually mess with your thyroid?
  2. Is protein powder safe if you’re worried about thyroid health?
  3. Are there certain foods I should avoid or include?

Would love to hear from anyone who’s dealt with thyroid issues or has some knowledge here.

Am I overthinking this… or is there actually something to it?
