Is using memes and GIFs of black women a micro-aggression?
Every time I’ve brought up concerns about this elsewhere, I’m brushed off and told I’m “too woke”. To preface, I am 24yo NB and Latinx. I see very often white gay men, as well as other non-black gay people, comment and post memes and gifs of black women on the internet as jokes. I see like one or two everyday on Twitter or Tiktok. Out of all the memes you can collect and share, why is it primarily black women? Are black women a joke to them? Am I overstepping any boundaries by speaking up about this or am I really “too woke”?

Uptick in bioessentialism lately
Anyone else noticing the bioessentialism lately on social media? People are using AGAB as a collective noun (AFABs/AMABs) and the discussions are not about biological cycles. “People socialized as women/men”, people with flatheads, and all sorts of traits.
AGAB being used as a collective noun does bother me a bit since transgender people invented this term to not be judged and only known for their marker at birth only for people to do exactly that.
