Drone norms and regulations for tourists.

hey guys, my partner and l have a planned trip to Cape town, and we would love to use this chance to checkout Victoria Falls since it'll be somehow near. l guess we can't just bring a Drone and start flying without doing some paperwork first. does anyone know the procedure around this problem ?

Adobe deactivated account then seized nearly $900

I’ve been selling on adobe for over 8 years and just had the weirdest thing happen. My sales have been going through the roof lately, especially as I’ve been working on my strategy more. I had some crazy big sales the past month, 2 days where I got a crazy amount of video sales (normally on a single topic at a time) over $300 per day, one was over $500. Then I hit another $100+ day and boom deactivated. It took them a week to reinstate my account, but I missed a $580 payout, and my account balance had another $300ish removed from it. They said it was activated due to “unusual activity” but I was under the impression my account was just hitting some big growth due to my growing portfolio and strategy. I wrote them multiple times and I just get generic copy pastas back. Anyone else had tons of money removed from the account? Did you get it back and how?

Turned the Tempelhofer Feld skatepark into a 3D model

Been experimenting with photogrammetry and tried to recreate the skatepark on the south side of Tempelhofer Feld in 3D.

You can check it out here:
https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/skate-park-tempelhofer-feld-berlin-low-res-48928202faab4b10b40f81f0ca2ef86f

This is a low res version since I’m still figuring out both the software used to process the data (which keeps crashing my computer when trying to compute higher res stuff) and also Sketchfab, but it gives a decent idea of the layout

Goggles for legally blind glasses wearers

I’ve been flying drones for years but more recently been wanting to get into fpv since I’ve been seeing what comes out of the Avata 360. Thing is, I wear glasses and I’m legally blind. I’ve not been able to do things like snorkeling due to this and therefore I’m a bit worried about not finding goggles that work for me. I’ve got worse than -6 in each eye (so legally blind where I live) and I’m not sure why but for at least 10 years I’m unable to wear contacts. They simply won’t stay on my eye and it was becoming when I drive a car. So I’m wondering if there are fellow glasses wearers flying FPV that can share their experiences. Have you found good goggles that fit over glasses? I fear my prescription is too strong for any internal diopter correction to help but I really want to start flying fpv

Is this a capture or processing problem? Thin metal bars missing in model

I’m running into an issue with thin metal structures not reconstructing properly in Metashape.

In this example (water tower legs), there should be additional bars between the vertical supports, but only fragments show up in the model
Capture details:

Drone photos at ~90°, 60°, and 45°
Circular orbits at the lower angles
Processed in Metashape
Images lightly auto-adjusted for exposure in Lightroom before processing

I come from a background in cryo-EM, so I’m familiar with photographic reconstruction and drone photography, but I’m pretty new to photogrammetry and not sure what the main limiting factor is here.

Is this mostly a resolution issue (too far away), or more about viewing angles / lighting / preprocessing?

Any advice on how to better capture thin structures like this would be really appreciated
