BABA vs. Value Stocks
Medtronic, Boston Scientific, and AT&T got crushed yesterday. There is fear in the medical devices and traditional telecommunications sectors. The difference between these stocks and BABA is that investors will buy this fear. Another difference is Medtronic and AT&T have much higher dividends than BABA. Many of you have correctly pointed out that foreign capital is afraid of China. At some point BABA will bottom but it has a lot of competition for capital even among value stocks.
