Anyone know anything about this tape thing? Found in Colorado Springs goodwill.

Any tips on cleaning old mercury battery detritus?
2 mercury batteries had been left in a battery compartment since the 50s and was wondering if I need to take any special precautions compared to normal battery acid?

Beta-gamma survey meter type n555 made by EKCO ELECTRONICS LTD
Found at a New Mexico flea market for 90 dollars. Only search result I could find on google says it was made from 1945 to 1955. Pretty massive compared to my other units. It says it was used by the C.E.A. as research equipment and apparently that’s the French atomic energy commission so no idea how it came to be in New Mexico. If anyone knows anything more about it let me know.

On vacation in Colorado and this is my haul. Got an interesting slightly modded lucky strike and a few PR-5As with root beer cans covering the window for the GM tube. Spent a total of 306 dollars on all of it.

Interesting Ludlum model 3 labeled Geiger counter.
Picked up this model 3 off of Facebook marketplace. Seems to be from the mid 80s. It’s odd to me that it’s labeled Geiger counter instead of survey meter. The probe is a 44-2 but it comes with this little cylinder on the end that is held on by Vaseline when the cap is not on.

Wondering if anyone could give any insight on this pickelhaube. Spike was thrown away on accident when it was shipped home. Taken in France by an American soldier, not exactly sure whether 1918 or 1917.
