Can't we bring this to Sri Lanka?

I mean, really, can't we ask Dr. Harini to implement a rule like this?

Edit : Since we all agree that the hair rules should change is there a way to acually make it happen, for real this time does anyone know any legal steps we can take or whatever we can do ??

Recommend me a good laptop

Hey y'all,

So, I'm going to be pursuing a Computer Science and Cybersecurity degree soon, so I think I might need a new laptop. The current one I have is an HP 250 G10 (family laptop), and I don't think I could do much with it.

So, I thought of buying a gaming laptop. The budget is around 4 lakhs. Are there any recommendations? Even though I'm a tech-savvy guy, I have no previous experience with gaming laptops and different types of GPUs, processors (used Intel my whole life), and their real-world performances.

I'll be doing some gaming like Forza Horizon or GTA, mostly simulators and Minecraft, but the main purpose is to do software development and content creation.

What do you guys think? I do prefer a laptop that has 4-zone RGB and dual-fan cooling (saw that's better in my research).

Appreciate all of your comments.

Visa rejection - Need to attend to graduation ceremony

Hey everyone, I'm making this post to help my friend.

My friend, who's a teacher, got his master's in Sri Lanka and decided to go to the UK for his graduation. So, the graduation is on July 6th, and his visa got rejected because they said they couldn't verify his income.

They mentioned that the money in his bank account is enough, but they can't prove where it came from, which is the problem here. Since he tutors students and teaches at a semi-government Catholic school, he earns a lot, and he's pretty well-off. (By well-off, I don't mean he's rich like those famous tuition masters, but he teaches 450-550 students, as far as I know, and he's still unmarried, so he doesn't spend much.) Most of his income comes from his tuition classes (the school only pays him under 1 lakh, as far as I know).

That's his financial situation, and I'm wondering if there's any way around this to get him a visa. There aren't any written ways to prove his income because he hasn't joined any institutions for tuition, and he gets his payments via bank transfers (he uses 3 bank accounts) and collects the rest in cash. He currently tutors on a building floor where he's set up desks and everything for classes. I think he bought that place, but I'm not entirely sure if he's leasing or renting.

So, guys, that's the situation, and I've told you everything I know. I really want to help him because he's the reason I am who I am today.

If any of you know a way to get his visa, please let me know. :)

Thanks!!

UK visa rejection, need to participate in graduation ceremony in UK

Hey y'all, I'm making this post to help my friend.

My friend, who is a teacher, completed his master's, and he chose to go to the UK for his graduation. So the graduation is on July 6th, and his visa got rejected because they said they can't verify his income.

They have said that the banked money is enough, but they can't prove where the money came from, which is the issue here. Since he tutors students and teaches in a semi-government Catholic school, he earns a lot, and that guy is pretty wealthy. (By wealthy, I don't mean he is rich like those famous tuition masters, but he teaches 450-550 students, as I know, and is still unmarried, so the money doesn't get spent.) The majority of his income comes through his tuition classes (the school only pays him under 1 lakh, as I know).

This is his financial situation, and is there any workaround to get the visa for his situation? There are no written ways to prove his income because he hasn't joined any institutions to do tuition, and he gets his payments via bank transfers (he gets them to 3 bank accounts), and he collects the rest of the payments as cash. He currently tutors on a building floor where he has put desks and everything to teach and do classes there. I think my guy has bought that place, but I'm not exactly sure if he is on a lease or rent.

So, guys, this is the situation, and I described everything I know. I really want to help him because he is the reason I am who I am today.

If any of y'all know a way to get his visa, please let me know :)

Thanks!!

Guys, what are your thoughts on the new One UI 8.5 update?

I updated to One UI 8.5 too. The battery life has seemed to be improved. Pros and Cons ??

Did ya'll get Airdrop compatibility with One ui 8.5 update

All sources say that with One UI 8.5, Samsung S series devices will get AirDrop compatibility.

I'm confused because I thought there might have been a bug or something else, as I just got the 8.5 update yet have no AirDrop compatibility setting on my S25FE.

Guys,

I recently bought an HP 250 G10 and I noticed that the backlight is not there on the space bar. 😅 Is mine a defect or is it the same for y'all?

Seriously, why are there double standards for boys and girls in schools regarding hair? When I say double standards, you all might say no, all of the students have to follow a specific set of rules. (FYI, I'm currently studying A/L in a semi-government Catholic school in the Gampaha district, so my experience is from this.)

By double standards, what I mean is that the boys have to trim their hair short and look like a piece of sh*t, and girls could do everything to their hair except coloring and have no issues at all as long as they braid their hair when coming to school.

Some would say it's because of the code of conduct and disciplinary issues; I do agree with some of those points.

I'm not saying that they should allow boys to have various hair cuts like trimming the sides too low or cutting eye brows and all the hair cuts that our moms call rasthiyadu type hair cuts, why can't boys have a decent long hair do they always have to cut there hair like kids and whats the purpose of doing soo. Most of the boys usually skip school and goes full time tuition classes because of this stupid hair rules.

The drug addicts will always do there shitty things and the ppl who are gonna fall in love will fall in love regardless of whatever they say and those stuff is not happening because the boys hair isnt short enough so what's soo important with the boys hair like what are we in a prison. If students from international schools in Sri lanka can have there hair however they want as long as they don't really suit a school uniform why can't others have the same standards.

I really hope if we good sign a petition and pass a law like in those movies 😅
