I know uninformed fans might look at his record with SJSU and not be impressed, but we were in such an AWFUL spot in the early 2000s. Nearly dropped football in 04, we only had 1 game that year with an attendance over 10,000.
Dick Tomey comes in, attendance goes up, the football program begins fixing their academic troubles, and in 2 years we had one of our better seasons in nearly 20 years.

The earlier titles by Canuck Play were a respectable attempt by a VERY small dev team, but obviously they didn’t have the resources to make the they probably wanted to make. That’s why I was so hyped when Modus took over.
A bigger dev team, more resources, and the team working on it asking people directly on social media what they wanted to see.
We had dev updates, the team was active with fans on discord, promises of full creative control, with physics based gameplay (they even once posted a work-in-progress clip of Backbreaker-esque physics). They even talked about taking a lot of inspiration from NFL 2K5. The hype was so real.
Then it was announced the game was a free to play live service game, I got worried. Then some people involved with the game were getting fired or leaving. Still, I wanted to believe the game would deliver.
Then it got delayed, still released in a disappointing state, and never got better.
I wonder if EA would’ve even tried to implement their pay to win style micro transactions if Maximum Football had delivered their promises and offered a legitimate alternative game to football fans.
To clarify, by “Dio songs”, I’m talking the band Dio, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Elf, etc. Anything RJD related.

For me, Stargazer is the most fun to play along to, Sunset Superman was the easiest to learn, and Over and Over has been the most challenging to learn (as I am still currently learning how to play it lol).
Was curious what other musicians’ (of any level) favorite Dio songs were to play.
Probably a long shot that he makes the 53 man roster, but I’m hoping it works out. Been waiting too long for an SJSU player to join the 49ers.

He's a lot more well known for playing with Norwich City than he is the Earthquakes, but he did play 2 seasons for San Jose in 81-82. No idea how much the Quakes are mentioned, but it still seems like an interesting watch nonetheless.
Says here on the Wikipedia that 2 games in the series have licenses for the KBO and Korean Professional Baseball Players Association.
I can’t find a direct answer on which games these are, and I don’t want to go through the trouble of trying to play every game in the series to find out. Was hoping some hardcore Power Pro fans here might know.
Seems like the 24 team playoff is a matter of “when” and not “if”.
It won’t be a copy of the FCS system, unfortunately. Just the top 24 teams selected by the committee.
If the 24 team playoff had been around since, let’s say 2000, SJSU would’ve made it twice. Once in 2012 and again 2020. So hypothetically, the 24 team playoff gives us a realistic shot at making the playoffs.
However, I’m skeptical about the playoff committee itself. I’m sure under the current and old system, they wouldn’t mind ranking SJSU in the top 24. But with a playoff spot on the line, I could totally see them snubbing, let’s say, a 10 win SJSU team for an 8-4 SEC team “with no bad losses”. Especially if they follow through with removing conference championship games.
So, I have mixed feelings about it all. Again, it does give SJSU the best chance at making the playoffs, but its clear that the powers that be want a 24 team team playoff to benefit middle of the pack SEC and B1G schools, as opposed to top mid-major schools.
If only they pushed for an FCS style playoff. Would be perfect, in my opinion. You guys have any thoughts on it?

Important context: I’m an adult, I’m not being forced to play by my parents or anything. Can’t quit because my team is already low on players, and I don’t want to make it worse.
Don’t want to bore anyone with long explanations, so let’s just say, I’m stressed out before, during and after games. I’m a detriment to my team as an unreliable fielder and an automatic out. I’m only useful as a body, which our team desperately needs. I can’t enjoy myself after wins, and feel even worse after losses. No amount of practice has made me feel or play any better.
I still have 80% of a season to go, and again, I’m not in a position to quit. Can’t confide any of this to my family, friends or teammates, so I’m hoping someone here can offer any useful advice to get me through the season.
PS: I love watching baseball and used to love playing it too. This feeling has only been around since I started playing again 2 years ago.
Maybe Fuchs just really hated Bennings and Windows lol
