Frisky - Vice (Still a work in progress)

One thing I know that I need to work on, for sure, is the length of the buildup mid song. It really drags out.

Other than that, anyone got any good suggestions or additions?

There's a nice little synth solo that starts at 4 minutes. If you get bored, just skip to that part lol.

Thanks for listening!

Looking for a song.

Alright fellas. This is a shot in the dark. But sometime around 2017, I heard a lofi house song and it stuck in my head forever. It was on youtube in a lofi house playlist. Well, it got removed, most likely due to copyright.

The song used these vocals:

https://youtu.be/IdTtE559yzg?is=v_M2ZDMTHBP4wWYI

It was the repetitive "falling in love, falling in love with you" and in between every "in love", it would play the vocals from the very beginning. The "oooooOOOOOOooooOoohhhhhh"

Vocals were tuned down and had a good bit of reverb.

Anyways, just hoping that somebody may have heard this and saved the song lol. Its scrubbed from the internet but man i literally dream about this song ever since it disappeared.

The Cove! [Explorations Albania]

So I took some pictures of the logo last minute on the last day of explorations. I was really drawn to not only the vibes at the cove, but the logo in the beautiful water.

I was going to blow this image up and hang it in the house somewhere as a reminder of the best time of my life lol.

The image is doctored, I removed the black poles holding the logo, and raised it ever so slightly so it would sit fully in the light area of the sky. Used gimp and my editing skills arent the best but it turned out alright imo.

I also added a slight white glow behind the logo, but ive saved a version without it.

Figured I would share, incase anyone thought it was cool. I certainly do!

[Homemade] Grilled Shrimp Salad. So good, the stray cats came running!

We lost power and my whole house is electric.

Grabbed a beer and headed to the grill!

Already had a vision, just on the stove instead. So I had to improvise. Recipe isnt measured, because it's a salad:

Garlic butter:

2 cloves garlic (3 if they are small)

Oil

1 Cup of butter

Cut the tops off the garlic, hit with olive oil, wrap in aluminum foil. Turn oven on 400, throw em in instantly, cook for 50 minutes.

Set butter out to soften.

Once the timer goes off, pull butter and let sit for 10 minutes. You can open the aluminum foil a bit to cool them down quicker.

When warm to touch but not too hot, squeeze all the goodness into the butter. Mash into the butter so you dont gave chunks of garlic. Recommended (but not necessary) wrap half in cling rap and throw in fridge (it's all going to be used anyways, lets be real).

Shrimp:

Shrimp

Oil

Any SPG (I like kinder).

Lemon

Garlic butter

Skewers

Skewer non frozen shrimp and hit with SPG. Make sure the shrimp are dry and not wet from any defrosting.

Get your grill hot on 1 side, oil the grates to prevent sticking, place Shrimp on the other side away from charcoal. Close grill. Open in about 5 minutes, use a brush to brush with garlic butter, flip, and repeat.

On the 2nd flip, hit with lemon after the flip. Just squeeze that baby. Right as you flip again make sure to butter first. Repeat a few times until cooked through.

I like some char so I'll move them directly to the hwat a few seconds before pulling.

The dressing:

1 part garlic butter

1 part soy sauce

Lemon to taste.

Super simple.

Throw a pot/pan on the heat and throw your garlic butter in.

Let the butter start to simmer and hit with an equal part of soy sauce. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Constantly moving so no burning happens

Right as youre about to pull it, hit with Lemon and simmer it again. I like a lot of lemon so a GOOD half a lemon for 2 salads works. If the lemon isnt juicy, use a whole one. Remember, this is to taste. You can add more lemon after to spruce it up!

And there you have it.

Make you a salad like you want it, put the shrimp in, douse it with the sauce, and thank the heavens for good tasting food. You dont need to eat unhealthy to enjoy a meal. so enjoy this damn meal!

you can do this over stove top and its just as good.

Jody played a song, and it changed my whole vacation.

Here's a little explorations story for you all. Those that went might understand lol. Those that didn't, might also understand lol.

It was day 2 of explorations for us. Everything was going great when, suddenly, the tides turned.

It's 12 noon and we are getting ready to leave for Gjipe to watch my favorite artist and DJ dusky. The wife told me to grab the key, but I didn't hear her. I thought she had it.

We closed the door, and boom locked out. We freaked out, no way to get inside because the door locks without the key. we texted everyone and finally, we got in touch with explorations emergency line to contact our host and he tells me he cannot unlock the door until 3pm.

I was scared that if we didn't meet him, we wouldn't get our door unlocked the rest of the day so we waited. we missed Gjipe. We missed dusky. I was so distraught that I thought the whole trip was ruined, as this was the main event I wanted to see.

I huffed and puffed. I blamed her, she blamed me, we were mad at each other and we both made the mistake. We were furious.

She was more furious because I didn't get to see dusky and Gjipe and she knows it's my favorite artist. She was blaming herself. We both shed tears separately.

Finally, we got into our hotel at around 3:30. We sighed relief. We took a nap, made up, and went to the festival. I was still angry.

I ate food, drink some drinks, nothing was making my day better. And then, we went to the cove to enjoy whoever.

Whoever just so happened to be Jody Wisternoff. I think he was back to back with someone, I can't remember. I was pissed.

And then he played it.

It was Artic White. Futuro Infinito.

I had heard the song before, but I started to loosen up and THEN.

Jody drops Alan Watts on it.

Come together, my (and lets be real, everyone's) favorite song, on it.

"Let the so called outside world, and the so called inside world, come together"

I swelled with emotion. I cried. It was one of the biggest releases of emotion I've ever felt. I needed to hear it, right then, right there.

I kept it to myself, but god damnit man. I just needed to let it all come together and realize that this is my life, this is my vacation, and I can NOT let 1 mistake ruin this experience.

Next day, I danced with Jody at Anjuna HQ, he hugged me and my wife, blew us a big kiss, and was such a fucking good dude. He made explorations for me. He saved me from spiraling. And then I saw dusky at the sunrise set which I didn't even know he was doing.

Everything was okay. And I thank Jody for this track. I am still riding this high.

Went a little crazy designing some items for Albania. Here's a cool little hat we made!

It glows in the dark!

We made some shirts and a car decal as well.

Small little edit of my favorite scene in the whole show. Can you guess the context?

I'll NSFW this because of language. Don't want anyone's boss hearing this full blast lol.

A spooooooky ghooost!

Before anyone yells at me for the "glow" setup.

Ive kept fish for years. This tank my wife fought me tooth and nail for a glow tank for my daughter and I caved.

She told me to go get glow tetras and I came back with a crayfish instead. 10 bucks for this dude? Cheaper than the tetras and he still glows!

Anyways, wife was pissed at first but now she loves him. Can't get rid of the glow.

I do have a sand corner he spends lots of time in, no mud unfortunately.

This dude will eat a whole worm in 1 sitting. I go catch him one once a week in the back yard.
