bringing gifts for smaller artists

this is going to be my first festival, so i’m wondering if it’s common to bring gifts for smaller artists?

i’m planning on getting barricade for not for radio on sunday and would love to give her a little bouquet of handmade pipe cleaner flowers if i get the chance - i don’t mind holding onto them all day (assuming they make it through security lol).

i’ve been to two of her shows before and she’s always interacting with the crowd. she usually accepts gifts after the show when people wait outside the venue, but i know that’s not really possible at a festival.

my plan is to hand it to her during one of her songs (not throw onto the stage); but if thats not possible oh well ! it was worth a shot

thoughts?

IVDD + Vaccines

My dog had stage 4 IVDD in February 2025 and underwent emergency surgery. She was completely paralyzed initially, but over time regained movement and eventually learned to walk again. She’s doing really well now and is essentially “fully recovered,” although she still has some residual weakness in her hind legs compared to before IVDD.

Today she received her rabies vaccine and another vaccine listed on the invoice as “DA2P-PV 3yr 4L 1yr Vaccine.” The vet was fully aware of her IVDD history. One vaccine was given in her right thigh and the other in her left thigh.

A few hours after the vaccines, we noticed increasing weakness in her hind legs. At first she was wobbly, but now she’s unable to stand or control her back legs. Her back legs seem like jelly, but at the same time they’re also stiff and straight. When we try to help her stand, her legs cross over each other and she doesn’t seem to make any attempt to reposition her feet or support herself.

She has had occasional stiffness/sensitivity in her hind legs since recovering from surgery, but nothing like this. Before today’s vaccines she was walking and acting normally.

One thing that is really worrying me is that when she’s lying down and I touch her hind paws, she doesn’t react. Normally she hates having her back paws touched and will immediately pull her leg away or tuck it back in, but now she isn’t doing that.

She was also vaccinated once before, about 3 months after her IVDD surgery, and had no reaction to the vaccines (one was for rabies). She remained fully mobile afterward and didn’t experience any weakness or mobility issues. I can’t remember exactly where those injections were given, but I don’t think they were in her hind legs.

Has anyone else’s IVDD dog had a reaction like this after vaccines? Could soreness from receiving injections in both thighs cause this degree of weakness, or does this sound more concerning than typical post-vaccine soreness? I'm extremeley worried that she relapse.

Will be calling the vet/hospital ASAP.
