Gideon is 2 years old :) and a very sweet, toasty boy.

He loves to snuggle with his brothers (against my legs), and this day was particularly snuggly.

We love a charcuterie/snack tray style-dinner, it’s very satisfying to put everything together on the plates, and it gets so much stuff out of my fridge haha. This will last a couple hours while we do our individual stoned gaming 😂

Built Kuromi a relaxing potion and sitting room in her and My Melody’s shared home 🖤💜

Minor spoilers for characters and quests that happen later in the game.

Taking pictures is my favourite part of the quests, so a lot of these are game-prompted photos but some are my own doing :)

I grew up with an NPD father (NC) and BPD mother (LC). For clarity, they are divorced now, and my mom is somewhat better now that she’s in a new relationship- but she still serves up the BPD sampler platter on a regular basis.

Growing up, my dad was a hoarder, and an obsessive, homophobic, angry person. He constantly picked on me and then laughed when I got upset. He wasn’t interested in anything that we (me + siblings) did, and wasn’t really an active part of our childhoods. He forced us to live in squalor, he would rage every time we tried to throw rotten food away, and completely blocked any attempt to actually keep our house clean. My mom made nothing but excuses for his behaviour, minimized our feelings, and yet when she couldn’t handle it anymore she completely flipped and made a teenage me her therapist, constantly pulling me out of school and ranting about how much she hated my dad.

This has been A LOT to unpack in therapy. I feel like these warring childhood dynamics and CPTSD (plus my own platter of non-personality disorder mental health issues) have affected me so much in adulthood, and I don’t know how I’d be faring without my therapist and my incredibly supportive fiancé.

I feel so alien having a parent who was both BPD and an enabler, and I often feel myself making excuses for her behaviour because I know he abused her too, and that she also has CPTSD.

Mostly a rant so I can type all my feelings out, but also open to hearing all similar experiences and perspectives :)

The conversation about “AO4” was hilarious 😂 I get you, girl

My favourite boys needed a library in their home! I love that their 3-star gifts are books, and so now they have a space to hang out and read on their off days from sitting on the beach together :) the paper parade furniture is very intentional

My blind boxes have always been way too cute to throw out, so they’ve just been sitting in my craft room- I finally made some mixed media collages with them. Cardboard and paper on canvas ❤️ and so much hot glue.

Here are some visitors that I would love to see added!

-Hangyodon-

Kingyo / Kingyo-chan: Hangyodon’s girlfriend! It would be so sweet to be able to build her a cabin near the comedy club so she and Hangyodon can be together! I imagine their quest together would be very cute. I just love Hangyodon so much and want him to be happy 😂

Sumire: Hangyodon’s sister! They’re polar opposites, Sumire loves to clean, is a hard worker, and is very competitive! She’s also an amphibian, not a fish, so it would be very interesting to get a new species of visitor.

-Pochacco-

Choppy: Pochacco’s best friend! He’s a tiny mouse that loves to run around and skateboard with Pochacco, and eat cream puffs. What a cutie.

Piyo, Piko, Pipu (Pi-Chans): Yellow bird sisters who sing in a perfect 3-part harmony.

Mogumogu: This is a bit of a deep cut, but he is SOO cute. He’s a sleepy little mole.

Cookiebow / Cookie-Bau: sweet orange puppy

Nutz: cute yellow hamster

Jellybean: adorable grey bunny

-Badtz-Maru-

Badtz-Maru’s Mama: she’s definitely a strict mama- she wants Badtz to be a star student, and she can be hotheaded. Overall though she loves Badtz to bits!

Badtz-Maru’s Papa: he’s a bit of a mobster, and loves to play pinball. He’s described as optimistic, yet intimidating. Maybe this is where Badtz gets some of his hard-boiled detective fantasies?

Bad Tsunko: Badtz-Maru’s sister. She’s ADORABLE and so sassy, and she’s a ballerina! She’s described as cheeky and spunky, just like her brother.

Soga Iruka: very smart, know-it-all white dolphin. I’d love to see him interact with Chococat.

Ogawa Sameo: a blue shark, a bit of a more obscure character, but he’s described as being lively and loves to laugh. A regular comedy club guest, I would think!

Good Hana-Maru: a sweet and friendly white seal. He’s described as the “nicest boy in the world”, and he can be friends with anyone!

Gyouza / Gyouza-kun: a skateboarding gyoza. Enough said.

-Pompompurin-

Muffin: a cutie little hamster who’s Purin’s best friend. He loves to hide under Purin’s beret and hiding nuts in his cheeks. Purin needs a best friend on the island!!

Custard: the cutest little bird who likes to sit on Purin’s head. He’s also one of Purin’s best friends.

-Keroppi-

Keroleen: Keroppi’s girlfriend! She’s ADORABLE!!

-Kuromi-

Guresuke: a villain in Kuromi’s story, but he’s just too cool-looking to pass up!

Gureco: a cute little magical wolf, who uses fantasy magic to bring her dreams to life. She thinks of Kuromi like a big sister.

Nyanmi: purple kitty that’s part of Kuromi’s biker gang. She’s described as witty, brainy, and second in command of the gang.

Wanmi: orange dog that’s part of Kuromi’s biker gang. She’s described as a sleuth- and since Badtz is sometimes Kuromi’s love interest, I think this could overlap so well into a resident quest.

Konmi: white fox that’s part of Kuromi’s biker gang. She loves to play hide and seek.

Chumi: grey mouse that’s part of Kuromi’s biker gang. She’s described as loving pizza and scouting.

And last but not least, my sweet boy Mellotune. He’s a sweet, sensitive, romantic Persian kitty who loves stargazing, beautiful flowers, and classical music. I love him so dearly.
