I just bought a Smart ForTwo 450
Today, I bought my smart car a 2001 LHD Smart ForTwo, it has great history and it appears to have had most of the common faults I could find addressed in 2019/2021. It was used as a holiday car, towed on a camper van and I read the paperwork and it would seem the previous owner was a school teacher (or that’s what she told the insurance company).
It has a crack in the door and a front wing but I have repairs factored into the price and think I have done ok. I also have a warranty as it’s come via a dealer.
It drove fine, I tried both the semi-auto and fully auto setting and the air conditioning worked, any sensible upgrades you’d recommend? I’m thinking of swapping the stereo for an Apple CarPlay compatible unit via eBay.

Three months in, zero revenue, zero regrets
Like everyone I had seen the Instagram reels about using AI to earn money and thought I’d try and join the bandwagon. Anyway, here I am three months on and while my side project has made exactly zero dollars. The learning has been incredible, I have learned about the tools. Vibe coding and the pitfalls and hurdles that can create, lived them, been onto YouTube to apply human fixes.
Anyway, the advantages of working through and learning, is that now I can actually say I understand the technology and that’s the advantage, I love my side hustle and the focus that I have found.
Warburton, went from a clunky Telegram bot using Granite, to a funny Discord bot, using Qwen and a curated lore, to commenting on the news and mad money, to a fully fledged moderation tool.
I have spent the last few weeks going through the business requirements for reporting and building those into Warburton, turning him from a funny Discord bot into a genuinely useful reporting tool, bringing calm support in genuine moments of crisis.
I have also lived the mess of the existing systems and built something that genuinely helpful, battle tested and proven to capture all of the necessary reporting data for the authorities while offering genuine welfare signposting to end users.
So what started as a way to make a couple of quid has turned into something that I’m genuinely proud of and I believe rightly so.
