I’m 28M, 6” and started my weight-loss journey around 4–5 months ago at 92.5 kg.
When I started, I was mostly sedentary and wanted to lose my belly/chest fat and eventually get a lean, defined physique. I started by controlling my food portions and calories, then gradually became more active.
Around the same time, I also decided to quit vaping cold turkey. I had been using a 50 mg nicotine vape, and I’ve now been completely vape-free for more than four months. That was honestly one of the harder parts of this whole journey.
After the first couple of months I was around 87–88 kg. I started walking regularly, usually getting 8–12k steps a day, sometimes more, and started going to the gym.
Over the following months I continued with the calorie deficit, walking and moderate weight training. I reached 86 kg, then 84.7 kg, and I’m currently 83.2 kg.
So overall I’ve gone from 92.5 → 83.2 kg, about 9.3 kg lost.
The problem is that I’ve now been hovering around 83 kg for almost a month. I’m generally eating around 1,900–2,000 calories, walking 8–12k steps and doing moderate gym sessions. My swimming pool is currently closed, so swimming isn’t an option right now.
I’m not trying to get huge. I mainly want to lose the remaining fat and have a leaner body with some visible muscle definition.
I’m confused about what to do now. Should I reduce my calories further, increase my walking, focus more on progressive overload, or just stay consistent and give it more time?
Would really appreciate advice from anyone who’s been through a similar plateau.

and how is everlasting brand in general?
Hey everyone,
Looking for some perspective or advice from anyone who has run into a similar wall.
My Stats & Progress:
Starting Weight (4 months ago): 92.5 kg
Current Weight: 83.8 kg
Total Loss: ~8.7 kg
Average Loss Rate: ~0.5 kg to 1 kg per week
My Routine & Diet:
When I started 4 months ago, I was eating in a consistent calorie deficit while lifting at the gym and doing daily walks. To speed up my progress, I eventually added swimming to my routine as well. So right now, my routine consists of:
Calorie-tracked deficit
Regular gym sessions (weight training)
Daily walking
Swimming sessions
The Problem:
For the past two weeks, my weight has been completely frozen at 83.8 kg.
I haven’t skipped a single gym session, walk, or swim. My diet hasn't changed, and I'm still tracking my intake strictly. Despite putting in maximum effort and burning a ton of energy, the scale just will not budge past 83.8 kg.
Some Context/History:
What's interesting (and frustrating) is that 83–84 kg was my baseline weight for years. A little while back, I rapidly gained about 10–13 kg over the course of a year, bringing me up to nearly 93 kg. Now that I’ve worked my way back down to my old "normal" weight of 83–84 kg, my body feels like it's fiercely holding onto it.
My Questions:
TL;DR: Dropped from 92.5 kg to 83.8 kg in 4 months using gym, walking, swimming, and a deficit. Now stuck at 83.8 kg for 2 weeks despite doing everything right. Coincidentally, 83–84 kg was my long-term weight for years before a recent weight spike. How do I get past this wall?
My 2015 Corolla (90,000 km driven) is suddenly giving terrible fuel mileage, and I need some help diagnosing the issue.
The Symptoms:
Fuel Average Drop: It used to give 11.5–12 km/L, but has suddenly dropped to barely 9–10 km/L.
Stuck RPM: The mechanic noted the RPM was getting stuck around 1,000 RPM. He reset/fixed it, which improved the mileage for about two weeks, but now the high/stuck RPM and bad mileage are back.
How it Started & What's Been Done:
I also had the catalytic converter completely cleaned.
Despite the engine temperature being completely normal now and the cat converter being clean, the terrible fuel economy and the recurring RPM issue won't go away.
What could be causing this persistent bad mileage and the recurring RPM issue? Any guidance from the experts here would be highly appreciated
