Found this beautiful serpent carving at Daulatabad Fort, Maharashtra. Sadly, it's broken, but the detailing is just incredible

Was India really the “Sone Ki Chidiya”? If yes, which era actually deserves that label?
People use the phrase “Sone Ki Chidiya” for India a lot, but I feel like the exact era is never clearly defined.
Was it the Gupta period, the Mughal period, or some broader pre-colonial phase when India was actually at its peak in wealth, trade, learning, and cultural influence?
I’m not asking this from a political angle just genuinely curious what period people think best fits the phrase, and why.
Would love to hear different views, especially if you think the whole phrase is misunderstood.
My First Ghibli Movie — Grave of the Fireflies
My First Ghibli Movie — Grave of the Fireflies
My friend recommended Grave of the Fireflies, and I went in knowing nothing except that it was emotional.
I was fine until Setsuko died. What broke me wasn't her death itself, but the scenes showing what she did when Seita wasn't around. She was just a little kid, slowly dying, knowing how bad things were, yet never complaining.
I was honestly mad at Seita too, because a lot of what happened was brought upon himself. But thinking about how lonely Setsuko must have been through all of this completely destroyed me.
This is genuinely the first movie that has ever made me cry.
Going to meet the friend who told me to watch this. 💀
Any idea on how to make this effect ?
I have been trying to make this , but I didn't find any reference code or things to use to make this , i want to make this exact type of effect
What was the absolute worst famine in Indian history?
I’m reading about India's history of famines, particularly during the colonial era. Events like the 1770 Bengal Famine, the Chalisa famine, and the 1943 Bengal Famine all had staggering death tolls in the millions.
Which single event do you consider the absolute worst in terms of total mortality and overall societal impact?
Also, how much of it was driven by extreme weather and diseases versus policy failures?
