Unable to login

Anyone else unable to simply login anymore? Either via Mobile or web app.

I have 2FA enabled via phone call. I wish it was in-app 2FA or text but the app is so broken I can't change it.

Anyways, The past two days when I ask it to call me, nothing happens. I've tried every version of login page Empower / PC has. They seem to have 2-3 versions of the same page these days.

Login with Face ID no longer works. It just immediately fails and says to give them a call.

Playing Sorcerer, getting bored.

I'm about level 52-55. I'm still playing on normal difficulty, have beaten the base campaign, and am now making progress on the other DLCs.

However I'm starting to hit a wall. I think my character is becoming...boring? All I seem to do is spam Blackwater Cocktail and OFF. It does the job, but it also feels overly mind numbing.

For others who have experienced this, did you start an alternative character? Or did you respec? Where did you go to next to keep things fresh?

Is it normal to feel disoriented moving head around with glasses on?

Sphere | Cylinder | Axis

Right: +1.25 -1.00 011

Left: +1.00 -1.50 004

I haven't worn glasses in over a decade. The optometrist said I was perfectly fine to skip or get a pair of glasses. I decided since it was getting a little difficult reading the tiny ingredients text on packages that I'd give it a shot.

I can certainly say it feels more clear reading text on the monitor or small print font. However if I ever wear my glasses when looking at something further away, maybe 10-20ft away things don't feel any more shape than before, if anything they feel either slightly blurry or just weird to concentrate on. It's difficult to describe.

Furthermore while wearing glasses if I move around my head I get slightly disoriented. It feels like I'm living in a fish bowl. When I slow my head down and look at the edges of my glasses I do see things warp. I'm assuming my glasses are distorting around the edges causing this feeling.

I presented my prescription to Warby Parker and just picked up a regular pair of eyeglasses and they said all looks good.

It has been a week now and if I forget to wear my glasses nothing feels off to me being on a monitor, but if I put on glasses and then take them off I can see how things are more blurry. But only when it comes to monitors / small text. Also objects feel a bit stretched out width wise. Like the TV or monitor. Maybe that's just in my head?

40s M, first time with glasses. Is blurry distance viewing normal?

First time wearing glasses. Generally I can see everything I need to without glasses but today after getting them I noticed I can read the small ingredients print and smaller text on the back of packages without straining.

However when I look at at things in the distance, like down the street, suddenly I get nauseous and things look blurry. When I take off my glasses things go back to looking "normal" at a distance. Flicking my head between close up distance (monitor) and far away objects also makes me slightly nauseous.

Is this normal? Does this sensation go away with use?

▲ 22 r/ARPG

I thought the ARPG I needed was Grim Dawn. Turns out it was D2R.

I longed for an ARPG to take with me while flying. I have my love/hate relationship with Diablo 4 and one particularly painful point is its complete lack of offline support. Being stuck in the Reddit bubble I assumed my solution here was Grim Dawn. It seems like the beloved / ultimate ARPG around these parts.

22 hours later I had beaten the base game and have branched out to the DLCs. While I can't argue it has been a fun hack and slash, it has never clicked with me. Somehow I can't get into the story, the characters, or the factions. Also, the graphics have been a huge sticking problem with me. I've tried GrimTex and still can't brush off the feeling that I'm playing WoW or D3.

So, on a whim I tried out Diablo 2 Resurrected. WOW. What a breath of fresh air. I loved the original and still have all of my original character saves from back in the day backed up on a NAS. The slower game pace, the graphics, and the music have me hooked. The controller/settings support is miles ahead of GD for someone who frequently changes client devices. I can't tell how much of it is the nostalgia hook, but this is what I needed.

This isn't a hating-on-a-game post. GD has its place and I appreciate that it exists. For me it turns out the 2000s ARPG is where I belong.

One HUGE downside to D2R though is its complete lack of offline character sync via cloud. That one hurts so much. It makes grabbing my Steam Deck and jumping on a plane very difficult without manually coping over save files. I hope this changes one day.

Any protips using Terminus?

I'm not looking for tech support, just asking the community for what road bumps they've run into trying to get BYOS Terminus up and running.

I find the lack of documentation and clunky UI difficult to understand. Even Claude/Gemini is having a rough time here.

The docker containers are up and running. My Seeed DIY TRMNL is connected successfully. I can use designer to create a screen and show it on my device.

However, anytime I try to use Extensions/gallery to pull in an already made extension, I can never get that to produce a new screen. I've selected my device, press build, successfully see preview, and still nothing appears in screens.

I wish this app had some better system logs to highlight what's going on. I'm docker compose logging without success.

Newbie with likely simple questions

Just got to level 40. I'm starting to get into the game (base only for now). It is a little dated but the core mechanics are top notch.

I have been having some hit and miss luck when it comes to playing on different devices. For example:

- On the steam deck I find the map particularly difficult to read even with the UI maxed scaling

- I play exclusively controller. Sometimes switching between PC and Steam Deck my controller seems to mess up? Sometimes button icons on my skill assignment is empty. Sometimes my skill binding changes? I don't know how to describe this but it's very puzzling.

- Is there a way to rebind map zoom from X and Y to Left and Right trigger? It seems way more natural to do so. Ideally pull to zoom and not tap to zoom.

- I just found out check marks on the map mean I've completed the devotion shrine? So now I'm struggling to figure out where to go sometimes for my active quests (I have seemingly a million of them)

- on the skill assignment wheel oddly only the right side is populated with button keys. So I don't know how to assign more than like 3-4 skills. I just keep spamming my gun and blackwater cocktail.

Any pro tips you all have? Again, 100% a controller user (I grew up on D2 but can't go back to K&M any longer). Anything not intuitive in Grim Dawn?

I hear on repeat I need to monitor my resistances. Right now I'm a Demo and haven't chosen a second class. I just run around spamming Blackwater Cocktail.
