Maintenance dose?

I’ve lost enough weight but I’ve gone back and forth between 2.5 and 5 mg of Zepbound. I had horrible side effects the first time I was on 5 so I went back down with the help of some free samples from doctors. I was denied the ability to stay on 2.5 from my insurance so my options are go back to 5 or stop. I’m scared of going back to 5. I don’t need to lose anymore weight and I’m terrified of the side effects. I understand that 2.5 isn’t an approved dose but damn it works for me. Anyone doing it like every 2 weeks or so and having luck keeping periods regular and all the other things Glp-1s do for us?

My other option is to go back to birth control.

Edited to add: I’m going to the doc on Monday to discuss options so I want to know before I go.

4th of July fireworks advice

Family is doing a quick trip to Indy the weekend of the 4th, and staying in Carmel. Any tips for fireworks? Parking, timing, best spots to sit would be much appreciated. We were gonna do the children’s museum or zoo that day, depending on weather and whatnot.

Tips for draining after storm

In the past week we’ve had so much rain and then a microburst that wiped our power for 3 days. Needless to say my pool needs some love and to get some water drained. However, the ground is so saturated I don’t wanna be a dick. And the sewer system has been super overwhelmed. Where is the best place to direct the flow?

I love myself again

Right was my 40th birthday in January, only 2 days after starting Zepbound. Left is me last week after losing 30 lbs. I look like me again! I’m eating healthy and working out more. I keep watching the scale and looking at my body, but holy shit what a difference in my face!

How to titrate slower from 2.5 to 5 using kwikpen

I was waiting on an insurance decision and my doctor was about to go out of town so she gave me 2 sample months of the 2.5 kwikpen. But now I’m due to go up to 5 (for the second time due to side effects). So I’m hoping to go up slower somehow. I messaged the doctor but haven’t heard back yet. Has anyone done the 2.5 like 5 days apart to build up the medicine levels before fully doing 5mg every week? I won’t do anything until I hear from my doc, I’m just curious if this hair-brained idea is any good.

Help get smell out of lid

I used a collagen packet and the smell is lingering in the rubber stopper of the lid. I took it out and soaked it in dish soap and the again in dish soap and vinegar. It still lightly smells like that collagen. Any advice???

Leaves that I can’t see

Had a guy close and then open my pool and now there are so many leaves at the bottom. I keep scooping them out but can’t see them because the water is super cloudy. Dude is no help, just said that I should keep cleaning the filter and “brush the bottom.” Any tips? I don’t even know how bad it is. What can I use to get them out of the damn pool so I can clear the water up?

Period finally came!

I haven’t gotten a period since last September, and after being on zepbound since the end of January, I finally got it! I mean it was kinda great not having one, but I was really starting to worry about not shedding uterine lining for that long. Supplements did nothing, metformin did nothing, thank you zepbound!

I was on 2.5 for the usual month and went up to 5. Had really bad side effects for 3 out of the 8 weeks I was on it, with the worst being the last week after working with a dietitian and moving injection site to arms and legs only. My doctor is moving me back to 2.5 because I was perfectly fine on it. I had some labs done and everything is so much better so I’m praying that the 2.5 is the answer. I need some reassurance that I’m not wasting time and money. I have to get an appeal from the doc to insurance bc they’ll only cover it for the initial month too.

I tried metformin and it did nothing for me. Now I’m on Zepbound and although I’ve lost weight, the side effects are too much for me. I’m going Thursday to ask to be taken off of it. I’m seeing my PCP, not my endo. My endo had mentioned me potentially going back on birth control. I loved being on it before I had my daughter. But now I’m 40 and also sterilized. Anyone have experience being on it at a later age? Obviously I’ll ask the medical professional about it, just looking for advice beforehand.
