What’s your favorite brand aesthetic? Do you make purchases based on looks (packaging etc)

Mine are Summer Fridays, Dieux, Sofie Pavitt Face, The Outset (no longer at sephora).

Haven’t tried all these brands products (yet!) just simply going by looks. If the ingredients are not good (to me- I avoid fragrance & essential oils) I of course won’t purchase. I don’t buy just because of packaging and design, but it does slightly influence me.

Anyone remember this brand? Hyper! Skin.. seems to be missing

Not on sephora anymore, has not posted on social media in like a year. Comments on instagram seem mention something about not getting their shipment so I’d be cautious ordering if you do..

Never used the brand but I remember it and randomly searched it. There was a mask, a serum, cleanser, and spf.

Just thought i’d mention it if anyone was looking for the brand.

Another broken app post but with a slight resolution

I have not been able to use the app normally for the past 2 days. I deleted and reinstalled, still doesn’t work past this loading page that NEVER loads. I cant do anything when I open the app.

BUT if I open my Ulta emails and click something, takes me to the app, and it works like normal! So I guess that’s a win.

Hopefully they’ll be an update to the app in the app store soon…?

For the banana girls 🍌

The moisturizer is only a small travel size (.84oz). Dont know why GR keeps taking away and bringing back the banana cream lol. Never tried it but I remember it from back in the Dayyy

NEW isntree body & face SPF

New isntree sunscreen for the body and face.

Nice formula, non-greasy feeling, but not matte. A tiny glow.

Not much of a white cast, just a tiny tiny bit because of tinasorb M. It’s not very noticeable.

No scent. No eye sting. Water resistant 80 min! Big bottle too.

Overall a pretty decent sunscreen. I’ve only used it on my face, but I’m sure its good for your body (its a body spf but can be used on face it says).

Can someone tell me how to interpret these dates for this Lip SPF made in Thailand?

Just received it today from yesstyle. Is it expired?

Dieux air angel

Just wanted to share since I just tried this and it’s on sale.

This kind of feels like nothing on the skin when dried down. If your skin is dry this wouldn’t work well for you probably. It’s marketed for oily skin I believe anyway.

Mine is kind of combo slightly dry from tretinoin and this wasn’t enough. Probably would be better with a serum or something hydrating under it.

But if you’re oily and want something light give it a try. I’d like to try the other cream they have if I can get a sample one day.

I’ll give it a few more tries and update if anyone is interested!

Reformulated Aestura atobarrier hydro soothing cream (mini review)

First few pics are to show texture, second to last pic is spread out, last pic is 10 minutes after application.

Tried this sample of the Aestura hydro cream, it’s the reformulated version sold at Sephora USA, maybe in other stores too. It’s new. Never tried the other version or any Aestura products.

It felt nice going on, a little went a long way. Felt hydrating, as it claims. A few minutes later it absorbed, then later on, 30 minutes, kinda felt like nothing was really applied to my skin. I wasn’t moisturized at all. Maybe I could’ve applied more, another layer.

This would probably be better for oily skin. My skin is a bit dry, slightly normal, but also gets oily depending what I put on (sunscreen, sweating, etc). I use tretinoin a few nights a week, so there is some dryness.

Overall not impressed by this moisturizer. I could see it being good in humid climates probably. It’s not heavy or greasy. It’s a bit pricey but the bottle is 2.7oz, bigger than standard 1.7oz moisturizers.

I’m not inclined to try it again, since it didn’t moisturize like I need. I will save it for the very hot nights in the summer!
