Actually worthless?

I was told that because this has damage, it was only worth about a fiver and the vendor said he was doing me a favor offering me that much.

I don't ever want to get rid of it because it was the first card I ever pulled (hence the damage, kids fingers aren't delicate lol) but I was told I should try to find out if it's actually worth something even damaged as my partner said a mint one is worth a good penny

Edit to add- he also tried to get a crobat in the same style off me and a leafeon level X

Disco dancing at silly o'clock??

So my girl is coming up 4 months old and has her ups and downs at night.

When she does wake up, she normally just eats and passes back out

But my main question is at like 2-3am it's like she loses control of her body! Her legs and her arms go wild waving all of the place likes she's possessed lol.

Shes not in or anything and she's smiley and babbles when it happens and when I feed her she pops right back off.

But I left my raving days behind me so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas?

Bedtimes Vs contact nap

I asked before but I was hoping to get a bit more info!

Our LO is 9 weeks old now and is pretty consistent! Feeds at 11:30-12, wakes again at around 3:30am then up for the day around 6:30-7

She contact naps with us through the day and sleeps from around 8-9pm.until 11:30-12 on either me or my partner.

Should we be putting her in her bed at 8-9 and leaving her?

I thought they shouldn't be alone when they sleep so I'm confused lol

Breastfeeding when not at home

How the heck do you do it??

I've got one hand trying to support baby, One hand smooshing the boob for her because she drops it otherwise.

She always feeds cross cradle and I normally use a C shaped pillow on my lap so it's SO awkward trying to do it anywhere.

What am I missing??

I want to be able to take my LO out to more places but I'm stressed trying to find places to feed her. Sometimes if I'm lucky they'll have a good chair I can use that let's me get the right height but come on!

Room temp tips

In the UK or is currently clocking in at almost 30°c (over 80F)

And our house is SWELTERING

We've got an air cooler going in one room and a fan in the other, but at most it seems to be stuck between 26-27c and this is WAY over the safe limit!

I've put ice in the cooler and a frozen bottle in front of the fan, baby will sleep either in just a nappy (and hope her leg kicking doesn't wake her) or in a 0.5 sleeping bag with some of the zip undone at the bottom to vent her a bit (not enough for her to get a leg out)

When the temp drops at night I open all the windows to bring it down and stick the fan by the window to suck in the cooler air.

But has anyone dealt with this before and have any tips or just general reassurance? I've asked questions here before and you've all been wonderful

I may have a TOUCH of the pp anxiety lol

Thanks so much

Sleep time?

I keep seeing all these videos etc about people saying they put their LO to bed at 7-7:30 etc

Mine is 8 weeks old on Tuesday and is Normally not too hard to get to sleep. Worst case she fights for max 40 minutes at which point I've realized she wasn't awake for long enough, but me singing to her etc fills that time and she goes off

However our routine is contact napping throughout the day, then my partner will take her around 9pm, play/ read with her for a while, then nap again until she wakes up (normally about 2 hours?) so I can get at least 2-3 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Then she's normally changed, read a story, cuddled and brought to me to feed and swaddle/put to bed

Should I be putting her into her own bed independently way earlier?? She still has a hefty moro reflex and kicks like mad when under a blanket/swaddled etc so I normally have my hand or fingers on her/near her so she doesn't feel like she's falling until she goes into a deep sleep. If I put her down earlier when I'm not next to her, she will probably kick herself awake. She kicked so hard last night she almost untucked her blanket and I don't want her doing that when no one is there!

Sorry for the long post, I'm just bamboozled!

Colicky baby or more?

My LO is coming up 6 weeks now and our breastfeeding journey has been a lot of ups and down.

Recently she's started just shouting and screaming randomly

I burp her and do bicycle legs etc with her to get gass out but she keeps going, only soothing if you take her out in the car or let her suck on my pinky finger (her sucky gets spat out)

My FiL has said I should try her on a bottle of formula as she may not be getting enough or my milk might not be providing what she needs.

She always eats until she pops of herself and I always offer the second breast to make sure she's satiated. I have an oversupply and a fast let down so I assumed it was gas or she was colicky but now I'm worried it's my milk that's causing her the problem and after all this time we've spent getting it right, this feels like a kick in the teeth.

Does anyone have any advice/experienced anything similar?

Adding that she had check up yesterday and the doctor said she was hitting her weight nicely and everything seemed ok

PP anxiety or?

After speaking to my local feeding team, they've advised my daughter no longer needs to be woken up and fed every three hours and I should feed on demand instead.

Now I HAVE been feeding on demand, as soon as she shows her cues, I pop a boob for her and make sure she's clean and comfy.

But I've been setting an alarm for myself every three hours and waking her to make sure she eats. If she needs to eat 8-12 times in 24 hours, should I still be setting this alarm, checking and if she's asleep leave her be to kip longer or just scrap the alarm all together?

I'm definitely overthinking this, but we had a rocky start with her in and out the hospital and I want to make sure she's happy and well fed

(She's coming up 5 weeks and is over her birth weight. She doesn't latch long, but I have a fast let down and she chugs for at least ten minutes and I always triple check if she's done/of other side)

Sorry for the long post, thanks in advance

We keep being told that introducing a dummy at 3 (almost 4) weeks will affect our babies latch and could impact breast feeding and also hide her hunger cues.

However at the moment she's experiencing witching hour and screams nonstop from 8-11.

Eventually she'll settle on my chest and suck my pinky finger and we've been told the pinky is ok, but the dummy isn't

Anyone have any experience with this or recommend something? If she can't have it I will soldier on, but I hate seeing her so upset and just want to soothe her
