What's going on at the Chamna nature reserve?

I drove by on the freeway and noticed that it was packed with cars and vendor tents. Does anyone know what's going on there today?

Low flying aircraft over south Richland

This was the third or fourth pass this guy has made and the closest they've gotten to my house. I'm looking southeast from the Leslie & Canyon area in the video.

What is this along US95 in Oregon?

We went on a road trip to Reno, NV last week. On our way there and back, we saw what looked like the tip of a missile coming out of a silo. Looking at Maps and Earth, it's obviously not what it looks like from the road; just a building of some sort. I'm wondering if anyone knows what it is. Search "5680 S United States Highway 95" to see for yourself. It's close to a small airstrip. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with that.

Death and Taxes...a liquor bar

I'm visiting from out of town. I hit up Death and Taxes before a concert at Cypress. I told the bar tender, Ryan, that my whiskey journey was at a point where I was just able to start identifying the different flavor notes of whiskey and I listed what I've tried and what I liked/didn't like. He made me an old fashioned with Weller Antique 107, their house-made tobacco bitters, Angostura bitters and their house-made syrup and it was probably the best old fashioned that I've ever been served. The only thing that would have made it better is if it was served with a Luxardo cherry.

TLDR: this place is SO worth it!

Full game spread available on mobile, not on web

Well, this kind of blows. I don't do a TON of trading, but I just threw $80 at the USA vs Australia World Cup Game and lost because on the web based version, there is no "full game" spread and I thought the 2nd period spread was the spread at the end of the second period, not just for the points that were scored specifically in the second.

Parents of students at Carmichael Middle School

Are there any parents of students who attend Carmichael Middle School who's children were omitted from the yearbook? We just found out that our daughter and at least one or two of her friends somehow didn't make it into the yearbook. She is an outspoken member of the LGBTQ community and so are her friends. They suspect that the "popular" kids in the yearbook club might have something to do with it.

Edit: I put "Elementary" instead of "Middle School" for some reason.

Edit: I just met with the principal. Long story short, it's mostly the photography company's fault. Basically, the way it works is like this. There are 3 opportunities to get your pictures taken in case you miss one or if you're unhappy with the way an earlier picture came out. With the second and third round, the photography company is supposed to cross-reference the list of students in that second/third session with the original list, over-ride the first set of pictures if the student had a previous picture taken and add the new students & their pictures to the list if they didn't have it done previously. They didn't perform that step on the third round of pictures. My daughter, along with at least 4 or 5 other students didn't participate in the first two rounds of pictures for various reasons, so their only photo session was never added/merged with the student list by the photography company.

Besides that, there are also dozens of students who will not get the picture that they wanted in the yearbook. They will, instead, get a picture that was decidedly not good enough for them (or more likely their parents) to want it in the yearbook.

Further propagating this issue is the fact that when the school does a final check of the students in the yearbook, they don't cross-reference their own roster of students. Rather, they cross-reference a list that the photography company gives the school of the final tally of students. That list was obviously incorrect, so the issue went un-noticed. Principal Stadelman did say that he feels that even students who miss all of the photo sessions should still be represented in the yearbook, if even with a blank photo. He even pointed out that they mis-spelled his name on his own ID badge around his neck.

Principal Stadelman has apparently already raised concerns with this particular company about their shortcomings in the last 3 years since they went through a management change and had already decided, before this issue came up, to go with a different company starting next year. At this point, there is obviously nothing that can be done, but I'm glad that certain measures were already being taken against the apparently sub-par company that has performed the picture-taking service for the last 20 years.

Homemade Italian sausage and spaghetti sauce!

Last week was my very first sausage making experience when I made [bratwurst](https://www.reddit.com/r/homecooking/s/DI0YE9bO0L). Yesterday, I made italian sausage and incorporated into tonight's spaghetti. My wife made the sauce from scratch. Despite the gross inequality in size this time, I'd say that I'm 2 for 2! These turned out incredible, if a little spicy. I think I'll omit the cayenne pepper next time and rely solely on the crushed red peppers.

I made bratwurst from scratch!

This is the first sausage that I've ever made. I got a meat grinder attachment for the Kitchen Aid last week and put it to work this weekend. I followed a recipe exactly and felt that it was a little under-seasoned, so I'll adjust next time, but it was amazing for my first time!

One of the owners of the company that I work for put his lack of communication skills on full display the other day and it cost me hours of my time and made me work a 12 hour day. I wasn't happy and he knew it, so to make up for it, he brought me in this little gem. I forgive him. Lol.
