I watched NOES 2: Freddy’s Revenge for the first time. In the final scene, why was the friend on the bus saying what a fun time the party was, if her classmates died there? She’s also cheery and upbeat as if witnessing her friends die wasn’t a traumatic experience. Was it imaginary?
Why was Jesse on the bus back to school again as if life has returned to normal? Wouldn’t he be wanted for police questioning? We know this is recent, and not months later, because the friend is talking about the party just last weekend. How does he get away with killing Grady as “Freddy” with his DNA all over that bedroom, and damaging a plant, and is allowed to go back to school the next week? Did the entire town just believe the Freddy story?
Why didn’t Freddy kill much during the pool scene? He could’ve done a Carrie’s prom scene here, but only killed just a few guests. Maybe I saw an edited version.
Why did Lisa drive to the plant to have her final confrontation with Freddy there?
Is this the only Freddy film in the franchise where Freddy does not operate through people’s nightmares?
What should have happened is Dr. Kimble is arrested, hours or days after the murder, but escapes police custody shortly thereafter and begins his manhunt. It also keeps the murder recent in time. People flee from police all the time. This is much more realistic than relying on a prisoner to attack police and start a Final Destination chain reaction that leads to a train derailment.
First, the sentencing date for a crime like this may happen six months to a year after the conviction. The passage of time distances us from the opening scene’s events. The escape isn’t as impactful if it’s a year after the murder than if it had just happened.
Also, why did Dr. Kimble have same haircut and beard when sentenced that he did when interrogated? These would’ve been a year apart. He shaves his beard when he’s on the run, thinking this would conceal himself, but we expected to believe he didn’t shave once when he was under police supervision, awaiting trial?
Secondly, Dr. Kimble would’ve bailed out after arrest awaiting trial. Why did he not spend his time as a free man to find his wife’s killer? He would have had a month to work with at least. He’d be on probationary period, sure, but he’d have fewer law enforcement after him then if he were a prison escapee convicted of murder. And no, I don’t believe they would’ve held him without bond.
Police arresting Dr. Kimble initially suspecting him of murdering of his wife is plausible and realistic. What’s not plausible is that this would make it all the way to the trial level, let alone a guilty plea, after numerous interrogations, witness testimonies, his counsel, and the lack of proof beyond a reasonable doubt.
And, a vascular surgeon with no prior criminal history, who can afford good legal counsel, with other doctors to testify what a good guy he is, would not be sentenced to death for this. It’s a plea deal at best.
All in all, it would’ve been better if he escaped arrest rather than as an inmate.
I felt old when the band played “All the Small Things” by blink-182 and said “Kids, if you don’t know this song, ask your parents.”
It was an awesome show.
Of course, they did the big ones: A Whole New World, Colors of the Wind, Part of Your World, the Big 3 (maybe even 4) from the Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and closed with Let it Go. Other gems were Kiss the Girl, Friend Like Me, and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
There were some surprises. They played songs from The Goofy Movie, Hercules, Tarzan, Coco, the Ducktails theme song, and the theme to the Gummi Bears.
I would go again 100 times over if they came every year.
I disconnected my engine air filter housing to replace my headlight bulb (requirement). Not just the engine filter top - the entire housing for it, which I can't believe they designed a vehicle where they expect drivers to remove a vital and intricate component of their engine every time they want to change a lightbulb. It's like removing the anti-freeze housing to replace the windshield wipers.
What if houses were set up this way? What if every time you needed to change a light bulb at home, you had to disconnect your furnace and hot water heater?
Anyway, when I finished replacing the bulb, it started raining, and rain water got inside the disconnected filter hose, on the engine side. I tried to dump it upside down but it wasn't moveable without taking apart more things.
I re-connected the hose and engine filter housing. Is it okay with a little bit of rain water in there?
If they were fortunate enough to have Betsy Palmer involved in the project, then just make her part bigger, as a guide that follows Jason around through the whole film. Maybe they didn’t think she would be a draw.
