Built this for my Mom. I think it came out looking good, and the build went smooth.
Nh05, gen 26mm Date linen dial, aliexpress case and hands, raffles 13mm jubilee.
Built this one for the Mom. It went a lot smoother than my first gen dial 26mm datejust build.

My first Reddit commission build. What do you guys think?
Nh38 (so no ghost date), raffles 5513 case and oyster bracelet, aliexpress hands, and ebay 5513 dial.
Total parts cost $225
I think the aging on the dial and insert came out really good.
Thank you Acceptable_Speaker93 for giving me the chance to build this piece and i hope you enjoy it!

Aged the dial and hands by spraying a thin coat of nitrocellulose lacquer on just the dial and baked both in wet coffee grounds face down for 15 minutes.
Aged the insert by submerging it into anodize remover 2 or 3 times for about 5 seconds each time.
Heres my parts break down:
Aliexpress:
Nh35, 39.5mm retro case with brown bezel insert, domed top hat mineral crystal, hands, 7mm rolex crown and tube
Ebay:
5513 dial
Rafflesdials:
5513 oyster bracelet.

Raffles 14060 and dial. Aliexpress hands, strap, domed top hat mineral crystal, 2824 clone and vintage style rolex date font datewheel.
Dial and hands aged by baking them face down on wet coffee grounds. For the bezel I dunked it in anodize remover for about 5 seconds. The lume pip on the bezel insert is the original pip that came with the raffles case, i just modified it to look a little closer to a original 1680 pip.

2824 clone: $51.07
Ebay dial: $38.62
Aliexpress case: $27.34
Hands: $7.27
The strap is from my Thorn T023 but you can find similar looking ones for around $10 or less on aliexpress.
The total cost for me was $124.30 + whatever strap youd use.
Ill most likely get hands from rafflesdials soon so the lume will be closer to the correct size, but other than that I happy with how the build came out, especially for the cost.

The main thing that bothers me is the hands not having the correct style of lume, but its hard to really be upset with the build because of the cost.
Nh35, Aliexpress retro 39.5 case, strap, hands, ebay dial, and raffles 7mm crown.
Sprayed one heavy coat of nitro lacquer on the dial and baked the dial and hands face down in wet coffee grounds for 15 minutes 2 times. Used anodize remover on the brown bezel for about 10 seconds. Filed down the original pip to be flat and used a lighter to darken it from its original white color.
Total cost for all parts including tax and shipping:
$143.87

All raffles parts and I aged the dial, hands and bezel insert. Pretty happy with how it came out
All raffles parts. I aged the dial, hands and bezel insert. It came out pretty nice imo
The tropical dial i sprayed two light coats of lacquer onto the dial and baked the dial and hands face down at 250f on damp coffee grounds for about 25 mins.
The black dial i sprayed onethin coat of lacquer i had stored in my garage since 2019. It shot extremely uneven and was spitting badly (actually probably helped get a better textured look). After that coat i baked the dial and hands at 250f face down on damp coffee grounds for about 25 mins.
The inserts were the original black raffles inserts that came with the cases. I dunked them in anodize remover for about 10 seconds and immediately dried them off.
Nh35 movement, rafflesdials case, bracelet, ewatchparts bezel pip, aliexpress hands, vintage rolex font datewheel, and the dial is from ebay. Pretty decent build for a budget.
