"Get 'em." THEY COULDN'T HEAR, BUT THEY KNEW THE TIME WAS NOW!🤩

It is always SO cool to hear kids rooting for heroes! We don't even know this kid, but he knows as well as anyone else that this villain gang's gotta go DOWN! And all he needs to do is whisper 2 words.

Also, Hawkgirl, the Thanagarian, leading the war cry is so fitting! It's also a cool detail that the more Earthly heroes are staying on the ground while the aliens and space cop are flying!

Also, think about Batman here! He probably never thought he'd be IN a position like this! But he's got 6 comrades who'd die for him and vice versa, and now he gets to stand tall with them in a 7v7 showdown in front of the whole world!

What happened to Mick is practically the DEFINITION of bad writing!

You know what pissed me off throughout season 12? The sheer arrogance of the BMOL, coming in with their smug attitude when they did NOTHING these past 12 years, especially when our team just stopped the end of the universe!

But you know who deserved better? Mick freaking Davies!

At first, he was like all the others, but you know what? He showed potential! He doubted the precious "code."

A young boy devoted to their order, having been a street rat before they found him? Perfect setup for a shift-in-allegiance arc! And he was getting there!

Killing that werewolf made him sick, as it should.

He let them try to cure Claire.

He let Eileen live for her mistake.

He confronted the woman that convinced him to kill his best friend when he was just a kid.

Here's what you simply don't do with characters like this: KILL them off just when their arc reaches its peak! I mean, come on! That is NOT how you do this arc! There's a total lack of catharsis in events like this! Even if the arc ends in death, don't do it RIGHT at the turn! Let him CONTRIBUTE something with this shift! Smuggle some vital secret for Sam and Dean, protect them from a colleague, take one of his superiors down with him! But NO! He's just shot in the back of the head during his defiant speech!

Good writing lets arcs like these end in a cathartic way, and give it some actual meaning! The only thing I'm getting from this is that the BMOL are dicks, which I already knew.

Mick just dies for nothing. Just like Gabriel. JUST when we can actually root for him!

These 2 are literally the definition of taking a chance on love, and it works so well!

Seriously, WHO saw this coming after Question's introduction?!

One is a vengeful, rogue vigilante, and the other is a conspiracy kook! Not only that, one of them JUST got kicked out of the Justice League!

But......it just works! They're cute together! HOW?!

"I'm not even in the Justice League anymore. You're lucky to have me along."

"Hardly. You're drawn to my eccentric charm."

---

"You were right. I am the ugliest guy of all time."

"Not in my eyes."

But sometimes, one nutjob just needs another.

"Gentlemen, it's been an honor." BATMAN ALWAYS HAS SUCH HIGH OPINIONS OF HIS FRIENDS!😭

Working with J'onn J'onzz being an honor is obvious enough, but Flash?

Flash has always thought highly of Batman. I love the dynamic these 2 had in the show!

Batman doesn't trust anyone......until he does. He just prepares. And once he trusts them, it's a privilege to work with these great people. This is so much better than him calling himself a bad person or something.

He calls himself a part-timer, but he always goes above and beyond for his friends, including the heart-on-his-sleeve goofball that is Wally West, and he'll gladly die before any of them have to.

Not to mention Flash's reaction. He just sits down defeated, knowing he can't do anything. He doesn't wanna lose one of his big bros!

"This isn't just a story. It's our LIVES! So God or no God, you go to Hell!" ONE OF DEAN'S MOST RESPECTABLE MOMENTS!

Chuck deserved every word. He's just a manchild who craves entertainment. He doesn't deserve to be worshipped.

For 15 YEARS, he toyed with them, manipulated them, all because they were his "favorite show." The Winchesters have suffered like no one else, because God doesn't care about them.

"WHY DON'T YOU JUST SNAP YOUR FINGERS AND END IT?!"

Chuck gave them sentience. He gave them the ability to be aware. That gives them the right to hate what he's done to them, no matter how omnipotent he is. It makes all of this more than a mere story.

Dean doesn't care who he's talking to. NO one can toy with them like that!

And remember, he ALWAYS felt this way. If God was omnipotent, Michael and Lucifer shouldn't have even been a threat. Sam shouldn't have had to jump into that pit.

And they're done letting him toy with them.

Underrated Dean moment: praying to every angel to help Sam

Dean is FAMOUSLY not the praying type. Cas is a major exception in his opinions on angels, for good reason, but Sam's dying after nearly completing the trials. Cas is in the wind, so what the hell?

He gambles and asks every angel willing to listen for help. He knows they have a hundred reasons to be pissed at each other, but he doesn't see another option. If they can help him, he'll owe them one. And at this point? They KNOW his help is worth a lot!

It's not just that either. We see angels reacting. It's just such a cool communication method! It also feels really earned after all his feats. If Dean Winchester is calling for help, it's serious and he's desperate. Whether it's out of compassion or self-interest, tons of angels would have reason to respond.

In season 4, his prayers were "See? I'm doing it, ok? You happy? Please just help me."

This time, he's putting everything into this prayer for his dying brother.

"For all that fierce exterior, I've never met anyone who cared as deeply about his fellow man as Bruce Wayne." IF THAT DOESN'T DESCRIBE HOW TO WRITE BATMAN, NOTHING DOES!😭

Yes, I know what I left out. Yes, it was on purpose, because everyone knows that moment! Other moments deserve recognition too!

That little girl needed to be told she'd be ok.

Superman was about to kill himself because all he cared about was killing Darkseid.

Batman has nothing but respect for Superman.

Long Shadow deserved to spend his final days where he belonged.

If that kryptonite warhead killed anyone, especially Superman, Cadmus would all pay.

Flash almost died stopping Brainiac. He deserved at least one original colleague supporting him on his appreciation day.

This Batman will always, always, always be the Batman, and it's not just from being a 100% badass!

Anyone else love that Syd canonically grew up loving Kira's songs?

This is the kind of detail people sometimes have to infer as headcanon, but not this time!

Kira had to get back to her own time because she had significance past being a ranger. What's her reward for making a difference as a ranger? Getting to fulfill her dream career that a FUTURE ranger has as part of her childhood! It's such a wholesome detail! She must've felt so honored!

Kira's performance of "Just a Little" is a great victory celebration tune!

This song deserves a full release! It's such a banger! I love how it steadily escalates until the flashback images!

Also, her voice is AMAZING!

But this isn't just a song, but a celebration. Mesogog is gone, and the Dino Rangers' duties are complete. Mercer and Randall have been freed. There's so much to celebrate.

This scene in "Lucifer Rising" is one of the greatest twists in television history!

"You don't want to stop it, do you?"

"Nope, never did."

Seriously, that realization Dean has about the Apocalypse just makes me drop my jaw!

Suddenly, a small part of it makes sense. Think about it. An archangel nearly killed Lilith just a few episodes ago, but Heaven's LOSING the Seals?! Come on! Especially with what even the regular angels have been able to do alone, it doesn't make sense, even with the 600 possible seals.

It was such a good twist that the higher-ups WANT Lucifer to come out so they can kill him once and for all! They don't give a damn about humans! They want to finish the battle and end their greatest enemy.

The rest of the conversation is amazing too!

Dean ONLY cares about what happens to all the people! It's still the Apocalypse! But it turns out there were 2 ways it could go down the whole time: half the planet or all of it. A war of this scale is too big to just allow to happen, even if Hell loses. But humanity gets screwed over, and for WHAT?! Some forced paradise?!

Zachariah tells Dean he'll stop Lucifer and will be rewarded beyond his wildest dreams, but Dean's not even listening! Instead, he asks an amazing question:

"Tell me something! Where's God in all this?"

That is such a powerful thing to ask! He HAS to have the answer! Surely, this wasn't the reason he was saved, right? Just to be Heaven's weapon in Armageddon? Surely his little bro wasn't praying to something that's just COOL with this, right?!

This is easily one of the best scenes in the show!

u/NewMGFantasyWriter — 26 days ago

"Maybe not today, but you look into my eyes, you son of a bitch . . . 'cause I'm the one that kills you!" Man, just IMAGINE how satisfying it was for Dean to say that!

Ah, the sweet satisfaction of traveling to the past and meeting your defeated enemies! Azazel is invincible to almost anything on Earth, and even with the Colt in Dean's possession, he's still got him dead to rights.

But then he learns his days truly ARE numbered. He kills Mary someday? Well, the son he doesn't even give his power to will deliver justice!

The SMIRK Dean gives him because he's already done it! I love hearing him say it! Whether or not Azazel's grand endgame pays off, he at least won't be around to see it.

And Azazel resorts to a consolation prize from this conversation. He'll die at this boy's hands someday? Fine, he can at least make him watch his grandparents die first. Ugh, the bitter banter Azazel has with the Winchesters is always so good!

Anyone else love how supportive the other rangers were to Cam in "Samurai's Journey?"

Cam storms out after showing his skills to do something they couldn't and they say it was some trick, but when Sensei explains Cam's frustration, they're so supportive!

Shane and Dustin think it's not fair that some promise Sensei made when Cam was little is all that's keeping him from becoming a ranger. Things are different now. He's no helpless child.

Blake thinks Sensei should trust Cam.

Hunter thinks that Cam, of all people, would make a great ranger, and he would! He's as skilled as all of them AND is a serious genius with the ranger tech!

Tory goes out to comfort Cam and says he can get Sensei to understand. He just has to keep trying.

I'd say this is one of Ninja Storm's best scenes.

"I've been to Hell. This was worse." ONE OF THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL SCENES EVER!

I HATE that scene......so much.

I do NOT care if the brothers saw no other way to get out of there! You do NOT say that about a regular prison cell in a show where one of its greatest scenes is about how horrible Hell was!

"They . . . sliced and . . . carved, and tore at me in ways that you . . . until there was nothing left. And then suddenly, I would be whole again, like magic . . . just so they could start it all over."

"For 30 years I told him . . . but then I couldn't do it anymore, Sammy. I couldn't."

Sam too just a few episodes ago!

"I've been tortured by the Devil himself. What can you do to me?"

But nah, being isolated for a little while is what breaks the Winchester brothers this time! This was SO disrespectful to the show's mythology and its main heroes! Another in the laundry list of reasons to hate season 12.

"J'onn, we can never replace the family you've lost, but we'd be honored if you could learn to call Earth your home." SUPES ALWAYS KNEW THE RIGHT THING TO SAY!😭

Literally how could he have put that better? He doesn't say something like "you belong here, not there." He completely validates J'onn's feelings, and why shouldn't he? He lost EVERYTHING!

But that doesn't mean he's alone. He just found 6 people who want him to stay, and Mars may be gone, but maybe Earth can help him as much as he can help it.

Even ugly season 1 cheekbones Supes had the right things to say in moments like this!

I love the trope of immortal entities being fond of small, earthly things!

When you're a mighty, immortal being, how else do you keep from going insane? You gotta find joy in the little things! Everyone needs a hobby or something!

Best example for this is Supernatural.

Death? A force as old as life itself, more powerful than anyone can process. Lucifer himself is nothing more than a bratty child having a tantrum to him. But......turns out he really likes junk food. Why shouldn't he? He's got taste buds, and it's not like it can do anything to him.

God's sister, the Darkness? She learned she likes yoga, among other things. When you're omnipotent and don't feel like creating or destroying anything, what do you do except go on every kind of vacation?

Gabriel the archangel? He's a serious partier. And he, well, he gets around......a lot. How did he not create a nephilim before Lucifer?!

Castiel? When he was put under a hunger spell, he learned he really likes ground beef.

Also, look at the Collector from Owl House. He's the most powerful thing alive, but all he wants to be is a kid and have fun because he's so afraid of being alone.

When age isn't a problem for you, sometimes it's the little things that can keep you sane.

"Asterisk" shows how amazing Mike and Rachel's chemistry as FRIENDS is!

They get a lot of flack, and honestly, this episode shows how well they bounce off each other as friends.

Rachel meeting Edith was the start of nice scenes between her and Mike.

Rachel teasing "Michael" about being a little boy is fun, but she gets wholesome as she sees Mike is trying to get Edith a new home, offering to help him.

Rachel and Mike seeing her latest LSAT results was great, with Mike teasing her with a fake-out only to lowly say a fantastic score. Their reactions were great.

Rachel breaking the news to Mike......damn.

Now, you could call this romantic chemistry too. I never saw friendly chemistry and romantic chemistry as mutually exclusive. If anything, quite the opposite. But the point is this episode shows how well they can bounce off each other when there's no tedious drama.

"Fine, the next time the Sky Cowboy wants to overload his engines and explode, this dillitron computer geek will just LET him!" Yeah......that one's on you, pal.

This has to be one of the funniest ways an episode has ended!

Joel BLEW it because he made assumptions!

Also, the other Rangers imitating a plane crashing and burning is just perfect! Epic fail!

"She designed . . ."

"Everything."

Joel hugging Chad for support is the icing! Like "......I totally played myself, didn't I?"

"I vowed to protect this Ralts!" I DIDN'T KNOW I NEEDED MAX AND SNORUNT TEAMING UP TO SAVE A DYING POKEMON😭

WHY did Snorunt have to show up so late and turn into a Glalie so fast?!

WHY is the song in this episode so obscure?!

WHY couldn't Max get more moments like this?!

WHY couldn't Ralts show up again?!

I swear it's like a CURSE the way the endgame love interest just so often comes up short against others!

This can be for a number of reasons (chemistry, storyline, character).

In Suits, Rachel's good, truly. She mostly got better as the show went on. She's beautiful, kind, and has a passion for helping people with the law like Mike. And I'd have to be blind to think they don't have chemistry. Take the episode "Asterisk," for example.

But JENNY?! Come on! She was the total package! Beyond gorgeous, funny, matches Mike on every level except career and his mind, losing her was one of the biggest losses of Mike's life!

Not to mention the cheating storylines Mike and Rachel BOTH had!

You know something? If Harvey and Donna had been married from the start, I'd have been perfectly fine with that! You will rarely find ANY pair as close as these 2. But all the hints and detours they gave for season upon season upon season just got so TEDIOUS! All the drama between them just made me want Scottie or Zoe for Harvey!

Barry, Barry, Barry, HOW do you have better chemistry with every woman that ISN'T your wife?! Patty was the damn jackpot! Yes, I know, she left to pursue her dreams, but they didn't have to kick the actress out! No, no, Iris is endgame just because!

While we're on this universe......OLIVER AND SARA WERE THE BEST! I get why Felicity would be into Oliver, but WHY oh why would Oliver love Felicity?! They have nothing to bond over or create chemistry from! She's just his eyes in the sky. Oliver and Sara had so much to draw them together.

Then there's Kion and Rani.

No, I do not care that Kion and Jasiri are different species in a cartoon where the animals talk and act like humans. Their duet was beyond adorable, and without even trying, they have so much chemistry it's ridiculous. The smirks, the nudges, the gestures, COME ON!

Meanwhile, Rani, the one he actually marries, says this the day of their wedding: "I'm glad the Roar has returned to the Tree of Life."

Yeah, that's kinda her thing. Calling him his power. It was so forced!

Whether it's stuff like inferior chemistry or tedious drama, it's like a CURSE with this trope!

Your most infuriating examples?

Anyone else love how Malcolm OWNED Lois in "Funeral" when he stopped lying?

Lois is right that family is important.

But it's the love behind it that really matters. Sure, Helen took care of Lois, but she was CUT OUT because she always made her CRY! On top of that, she was so bad that she was hated by EVERYONE!

The funeral itself would be MEANINGLESS! It'd just be pretenders trying not to feel guilty about not loving her.

Lois talks about duty to the family, but......she HATED the woman! There's no reason for ANYONE to go.

"You can't just stick the word 'family' in front of something and turn everyone else into slaves! It makes no sense!"

So true. Despite what Lois says, it IS about love. That's what makes funerals AND family have meaning!

"No one liked this woman, so why do we have to pretend like we did now? What good will it do anybody?"

Boom. Lois couldn't even answer that because it wouldn't even do any good for HER! Again, Hal cut the woman out of their lives because everyone, Lois included, hated her! Thus, she's dragging everyone into this for no reason because this funeral wouldn't mean anything.

She even turned to Hal, needing support because she knows she doesn't have a leg to stand on! She was asking her family to give up their day for no reason, because why would she even NEED support at a funeral for someone she didn't even love?! She feels a weak obligation to go because "family," and that's toxic.

You gotta admit, Malcolm owned her here.
