Hey dudes, retard here. Recently got my RS3 an e85 tune - completely stock 8V otherwise. Absolutely hauls too much ass for the street/daytime, buuuuut -

Do i need to turn off traction control while in sport/manual to get full beans? Sometimes it feels like it’s holding back.

Could easily be the dirty south heat or maybe a TCU tune?

Recently took it on a road trip for a family thing and it crushed the drive, made 6 hours in 5. Fit 4 peoples worth of luggage in it and managed a 30+ mpg on the highway. Fiancé was able to drive through Houston and enjoyed setting the stop and go cruise in traffic lmao. It’s honestly really quiet on the inside at speed, and just comfortable, not too much of anything. I recently had a back fracture and was able to get comfortable enough to not complain.

Anywho Good car and cleans up nice for 120k :)

Just finished a plain ole stage 1 on 93 on my 8V and oh my lord this thing hauls ass. Like a completely different car. I can’t wait to feel E85 😈

Before it was kinda quick, slower than my last car, but with just a tune I think I’m back to about the same speed!

Still so fresh and so clean after all this time. And now ready to stunt on the 4th.

My DCC struts are going out so I’m looking for coilovers as replacements.

I’ve heard many went with B14/16s or Evos with a DCC delete.

Anyone have any recommendations or feedback on their setup? I drive mostly busted city streets, so I’m not going for low.

Anybody else have or have had an issue with loud wind buffeting around 110-120mph at the front? Had to drive an hour for work and was on a lone highway and decided to hit it.

Noise kinda comes from out of no where and then subsides pretty quickly.

Windows and roof were closed. No dangling under-tray or loose skirts from initial check. I’ll prolly slide under neath when i get home.

Could it be the hood/front clip liner/gasket? I noticed it was flaking apart.

Any help appreciated. PFA

Edit*** found the issue!!! Dealer or previous owner, never had the back three tray bolts in place! Ordered a few that will be here tomorrow, hopefully it’s a quick fix. I hope to god it’s not cause some ass stripped them out 👀

Been about a week. Love it so much. All around firecracker but still subtle.

Coming from a Mazdaspeed 3 the awd feel so good, you feel so confident off the line and in the wet. So easy to absolute blitz people off the light while not even trying. It’s also nice the wife can drive it in an emergency or something.

Has a few things to be fixed but otherwise, a gem i hope I’ll never part with.

Sad but happy day, got a new to me 3.

I always miss and love my speed. Not seeing it in ty driveway absolute guts me. 115k of absolute thrashing and love. Stock to FBO to BNRS4 + suspension. Was the car my dad taught me stick in.

One day when my fiance and mom forget it was a speed model I’ll come back. But for now got myself another “3”.

While i have no business here i will continue to lurk and support. I have about 15 years of useless speed knowledge in my brain so.
