So I got these lamenters decals from impatient tabletop, sadly they are very translucent. Is this a problem inherent to all decals or a quality issue?

I think I could try to first apply the white circle decal of the space marine infantry sheet to acquire a unified base. Any other solutions?

Edit: applying the white circle from the space marine infantry shield beforehand solved the issue. Now I can use up the sheet I ordered and will look for another solution in the future. Thanks to everyone who answered.

I really need to find this bit. I mean the thorned heart. I have looked at the sprues of daughter of khaine models and the triumph of saint catherine where I suspected it but didn‘t find it. Maybe I have overlooked it. I so desperately want to make bluestuff molds of this!

I am currently planning a lamenters force. However, I am not satisfied with the pink + zenithal + imperial fists contrast method. I want to get closer to more of a deasturated yellow.

The images displayed here are not my own work. They just show the yellow I aim for. Notably the highlights are much paler and the shadows are very brown.

So now to my question: does anyone have recommendations on paint procedure and paints?

I will use the airbrush (currently have the infinity von H&S) and would prefer to do the armor that way. I have layed an eye on the dunkelgelb modulation set in the third slide. Especially the lighter colors could be cool. What do you think about them?
