How to seal electrical wire holes going into outdoor sauna?
I just finished building my first outdoor sauna. I have LED light strips that I want to put inside my sauna and also have to run the wire for the thermometer and internal heater controller from the external box into the inside of my sauna.
My question is, how would you run the wire to the inside and still keep it water tight and prevent the wire from being exposed to the outside elements? Of note, I am not asking about the wiring to the heater itself as I already have that taken care of.
For context I bought a kit sauna so I did not have the luxury of running the wire through the wall beforehand. I am assuming drill the smallest holes to accommodate the wire and then use heat resistant silicone to seal the small gaps around the wires but I am curious if anyone has any better ideas? The hole for the wire for the internal controller will be sealed behind the controller itself so I am not as worried about that one, more so about the temperature wire and LED wires because those will be higher up in the sauna where temps could be higher.
As for the outside, do most people just drill right from the back of the controller box into the sauna and then run the wire internally first through the walls or run it outside without any covering by tacking it and then drill into the wall exactly where you want it? Thanks for the help in advance
