What's the best turn one you've had in the lab?

Currently testing Rain Dance on Talonflame as a disruptive support option with a few benefits to the team and, as you can see, I hit the jackpot.

Yes, they used Solar Beam
Yes, they forfeit after the Liquidation OHKO

Have you had anything similar in the lab while testing?

Torkoal topples the "GOAT" never give up!

Don't think I could have finished the season with a more hype come back. I had to loop Protect, Yawn to stay alive with Leftovers healing, they tried to time the match out when they got down to red HP but I still clutched it.

Coaching Balance

What started out as a team Wolfie built to showcase Mega Feraligatr around launch has now evolved into an all round Coaching balance team that has both taken me on big streaks and won me a small online tournament.

It's interesting because I was running a pretty standard rain team for both seasons, but my rain team builds were really struggling with the fairy matchup, that and my love of Feraligatr lead me to finding this build and it's done nothing but over perform since.

The version Wolfie built was running Gardevoir as the backup mega, but having recently done the Floette grind in ZA, I opted for Floette instead since they essentially play the same role of strong spread damage, plus Floette's access to Draining Kiss makes it play better with not only the sustain from Sinistcha but with any Coaching Def boosts as well. The only thing it's missing vs Gardevoir is Trick Room, but I was only ever using it in a pinch of if I brought both megas and no Sinistcha. Gardevoir was also running Psychic, which I could also give to Floette if the meta shifts require it.

Running max HP investment makes Feraligatr super tanky which makes it shake off most spread moves, as well as pairing well with Sinistcha to make Double Edge a lot less taxing. I think the must underrated aspect of Feraligatr is that it doesn't have to also mega straight away and can still benefit from Sheer Force and Coaching. Double Edge can still OHKO opposing fairies when it's normal type!

I had tried Aerodactyl over Talonflame at first, but the double priority and it's ability to threaten Sneasler, Corvknight, Sinistcha, Whimsicott, etc. and flat out ignore Scovillain stall went a long way. Mental Herb seemed the best choice since it often leads into and threatens popular Encore users so you can bait them with leading Tailwind.

Kingambit might actually be the best Coaching partner on this team, while I originally wanted Kingambit to check fairies, it can sometimes just randomly sweep in the right environments. Some people will lead Incin for some reason which, if I lead with Sneasler, starts Kingambit at +3 Atk. Against Froslass teams, you can all but assure Kingambit starts at +2 thanks to the inevitable Aurora Veil turn and Sneasler's Focus Sash, which is generally enough to sweep with Kingambit's whole moveset.

I do have some considerations for this team, like maybe fitting Low Kick onto Kingambit, Psychic onto Floette, swapping Folette's last two EVs to Spe and maybe Life Dew on Sinistcha, but as it stands, I think this team will start of the next season strong.

Won a small tournament tonight with this team!

Entered last minute to get the bracket to even numbers and wasn't expecting much success but Coaching Sneasler is no joke. With the amount of how Rock Slides and other spread moves that Sneasler is neutral to that are being used in the meta, it was able to consistently get off two Coachings in most matchups, between that and some clutch Protect reads to get Trick Room up, this team just went off.

Wolfie built this team for a video on M-Feraligatr just after launch and it seems like it's aged surprisingly well. I was debating swapping Talonflame for Aerodactyl, because of how popular the giraffe is, but Talonflame really managed to over perform in this event.

Struggling against Fairy Types

I'm really enjoying this team and it can get on win streaks off the back of early set up and disruption from Rotom Wash and Sableye to allow either mega and the bridge to clean up. The big problem though is that this team absolutely folds to fairy types, like if an opponent brings Pixelate Hyper Voice they just win, be it the stupid pink dog or the mega body pillow.

What can I add or remove to sure up my fairy coverage? I feel like the only free spot to switch up here is Rotom Wash, and I was thinking maybe a Venusaur? I have tried Metal Coat Scizor but it's too slow to set up. If it has to be Kingambit then fine, but that thing doesn't feel like it fits in here beyond the "you need Iron Head or you lose" situation that this regulation is because someone decided fairy types didn't need any checks.

Rate My Team - Rain Screens Developments

https://pokepast.es/60dfdcbf0731544d

I’ve been toying around with this team; it started as a standard rain team but has morphed into a hybrid rain / set up with Feraligatr.

Between Sableye disruption from Prankster and a Fake Out from Sneasler, firing off at least one safe Swords Dance is all but assured.

Depending on the team, I will bring Sableye or Sneasler, or both on rare occasions where Sneasler can just run the opponent over.

Screens Sableye doesn’t need much explanation, but I’ve been debating if Quash or Thunder Wave is the better option for this team, especially as Chomp is so popular and is a key target to slow down if I’m bringing Dragonite. Without any attacking moves, maybe Siturs Berry isn’t the best item for it, but as assurance for getting both screens up or being able to use Quash multiple times in a match, I feel like its worth it and to be honest, Sitrus Berry feels like the best item in the game right now so going without it would just feel wrong.

Arcobatics on Sneasler recently took over from Coaching to have a super effective option against the grass types that Dire Claw is neutral on both for extra coverage and for supporting Feraligatr against grass type moves that threaten it if you don’t mega.

The Feraligatr was running Dragon Dance instead of Swords Dance until recently, but the classic Swords Dance + Aqua Jet does so much consistent damage at +2 alone, even if you don’t use the mega, the flexibility of being able to play regular or mega Feraligatr is great at adding extra resistances or dodging the fairy weakness, you can mega whenever you feel like you need it based on the team or what you’ve scoped out with Protect. There are many instances where I can bring both Dragonite and Feraligatr while not missing out too much from only being able to mega one…granted this isn’t the most optimal, but coverage from Dragonite is so good.

Dragonite is here for the rain synergy, and an all round bulky option with Multiscale, allowing OHKO against any opposing offensive dragons with the fast mega buffed Ice Beam, I would love to have Tailwind on the Dragonite, but I don’t feel like there’s any moves I can sacrifice, Ice Beam feels like a requirement for this team.

Archaludon and Pelipper are pretty standard, and mostly there in case things go wrong or you encounter a team where the standard rain lead can just get there. Aura Sphere on Archaludon is great tech, it was initially for the mirror but after one SpA boost, its usually enough to OHKO threats like TTar, Kingambit, Hydreigon, etc.

When the team was initially built, it was super aggressive so the Pelipper stat spread / moves reflect this, but I am curious if anyone thinks I should swap it to a more defensive bulky build with Wide Guard over Weather Ball.

Player Profile Resource

My local FGC scene is looking to get a small scale online VGC bi-weekly league on the go to fill in the gaps between our offline events, is there a website for VGC like https://www.supermajor.gg that shows you player stats to help with seeding players for events?

MK5 Steering Wheel Control Interface

I recently installed a new single din head unit, something I hadn't considered though is the radio control stalk on the steering wheel, can anyone point me in the direction of a control module I can get to restore the radio control stalk functionality?

Thanks!

Events Question - Running a VGC bracket on Start GG

Hello, I'm part of a FGC TO team, we currently don't have access to our usual local venue so are looking at branching out to different online games.

There's a strong interest in VGC in our community so this is something the team and I are keen to have a go are running a bracket for via. Champions.

Since we normally run all of our games through start.gg can anyone tell me if its possible to smoothly run a VGC bracket through start.gg or is there another platform we should be using?

Thanks!

I rolled this player's Perish trap Gengar in like three turns because I lead Scizor and they had no idea how to deal with it so they just sat there until they ran out of Toxic, Recover and Protect PP, at which point they forfeit.

Why are people like this?
