Nexus Breach: a 2-4 player card game in the browser, no download, no account to try it

Two worlds got merged 200 years ago and eight factions are fighting over the tears left in reality. About forty minutes a game.

Every warrior has a Value that is both what it costs to play and what your opponent scores for killing it, so your best card is also the biggest prize on the board. That one rule does most of the work.

What's in it:

- One Ascendant, your commander: faction, race and a permanent power, 400+ builds. Never enters play, shapes every turn
- 120 cards in 8 types: warriors, gear, arcana, void symmetry, fortifications, breach sites, missions and one-shot specials
- 8 factions, each with its own abilities and its own rules about who it may attack
- 60-card decks you build yourself
- Rooms for 2 to 4 players
- 5 AI difficulties, from a relaxed practice opponent up to Void Apostle
- 18 hand-built bot decks dealt at random, so the AI brings a different deck and a different plan every game

It's new and in beta, so the room browser is quiet. That's what the bots are for.

I've built a techno-fantasy card game

Hi All,

This is my second attempt at developing a game, would love to get some feedback.

In short: Nexus Breach is a browser card game: 120 cards, eight factions, two to four players. Built solo. AI touched every part of it.

You can play vs AI or with Friends.

Claude Code: engine, front end, database.

Card art: a local Z-Image model in Draw Things, created all the art for free.

Sound: ElevenLabs, 23 special effects.

Music: Suno, five tracks. I wrote down what it must not be (no synthwave, no heroic fanfare, no chiptune) and generated against that rather than a genre.

The rules are the one part where I had most of the ideas but used Opus to help me test the balance and fairness of the cards.
