33M | Navigating through the audlt friendship thing!
Hey! I recently realized that making friends as an adult is way harder than I ever expected, and thought I’d put myself out here. I’m 33, and life’s taken me on some unique paths. I got married in 2023 and made the move to Austin, TX. Some things about me: I’m into podcasting, board games, cooking, tennis, audiobooks, and F1. Let's navigate this adult friendship thing together! Oh, and I’m here completely for platonic friendships. I’m happily married and only looking for friendships.
Looking to Connect with Ambitious People to Build a Meaningful Startup
I’m looking to create a team of ambitious, creative, and dependable people who are interested in entrepreneurship, technology, and building a startup.
This is not about recruiting for one specific position or immediately committing to a single idea. The goal is to bring together people with different skills and backgrounds who want to connect, exchange ideas, identify real problems, and explore opportunities to build something meaningful together.
If this sounds like a group you would like to join, send me a DM or leave a comment below.
Seeking Innovators for a Connected Property Startup
I’m deeply interested in smart homes, connected properties, IoT, automation, and building technology that makes residential and commercial spaces easier to manage. I have a background in business, real estate, partnerships, operations, and early-stage company development. I’m based in Austin, TX. I’m currently looking for 2–3 motivated people from around the world who are interested in building something together from the ground up.
Experience in software development, IoT, product design, automation, artificial intelligence, or business development would be valuable. More importantly, I’m looking for reliable, professional, and consistent people who are willing to contribute ideas, share responsibilities, and work toward creating a successful company together.
Looking for Honest Feedback on My Idea
The broader vision is to improve how residential and commercial properties are designed, built, connected, operated, and experienced. Today, the property technology ecosystem remains highly fragmented, forcing homeowners, property managers, developers, and businesses to rely on disconnected devices, incompatible platforms, multiple applications, and systems that become difficult to maintain.
The opportunity is to create a unified software and service layer that brings these technologies together through a reliable, intuitive, and scalable platform.
This would not be a traditional smart home installation company. The long-term goal is to support the full property lifecycle, including design and construction planning, building automation, security and access control, energy and climate management, property operations, resident and workplace experiences, and long-term system monitoring.
Initially, the company would integrate proven products from established smart home, IoT, security, energy management, building automation, and proptech providers rather than manufacture proprietary hardware. The primary differentiator would be the software, systems architecture, and service model used to deploy, integrate, automate, monitor, control, and maintain these systems through a centralized interface.
The first priority would be market validation. I would conduct customer discovery, evaluate residential and commercial opportunities, identify the most urgent and commercially valuable use case, and develop a focused minimum viable product.
My background is in business strategy, marketing, partnerships, startup execution, and real estate. I spent several years in the Philadelphia real estate industry and gained direct exposure to the needs of property owners, developers, agents, investors, homebuyers, and other stakeholders.
I can lead business and product strategy, customer discovery, sales, partnerships, brand positioning, fundraising, go-to-market execution, and real estate industry outreach. I also have professional contacts who could support early validation, provide market feedback, identify pilot opportunities, and facilitate introductions to prospective customers and partners.
Building a Unified Platform for Smart Properties
I am seeking a technical co-founder to build a company at the intersection of smart building technology, IoT, construction technology, proptech, automation, and intelligent infrastructure.

I am looking for a technical co-founder with experience or a strong interest in areas such as full-stack or backend development, mobile applications, IoT architecture, APIs and systems integration, device interoperability, cloud and edge infrastructure, artificial intelligence, automation, smart building systems, construction technology, proptech, energy management, or enterprise software.
This is not a contractor role or a limited development project. I am seeking a genuine co-founder who will take ownership, contribute to strategic decisions, challenge assumptions, communicate effectively, and help shape the company from its earliest stage.
The ideal candidate will be committed to building a long-term company, developing products with discipline, moving with urgency, and maintaining a strong focus on customer needs and commercial viability.
If this opportunity aligns with your experience and interests, I would welcome the opportunity to connect and discuss whether there may be a strong fit.
Seeking a Co-Founder to Build the Future of Connected Properties
I am seeking a technical co-founder to help develop a company at the intersection of smart building technology, IoT, construction technology, real estate technology, automation, and intelligent infrastructure.
The broader vision is to improve how residential and commercial properties are designed, built, connected, operated, and experienced.
Today, the property technology ecosystem remains highly fragmented. Homeowners, property managers, developers, building owners, and businesses often rely on multiple applications, disconnected devices, incompatible platforms, inconsistent integrations, and systems that become increasingly difficult to maintain over time.
I believe there is a significant opportunity to create a unified software and service layer that brings these technologies together into a reliable, intuitive, and scalable platform.
The objective is not to build a traditional smart home installation company. The long-term goal is to develop a technology-enabled business that supports the full lifecycle of a property, including:
• Design and construction planning
• Smart home and commercial building automation
• Security and access control
• Energy and climate management
• Property operations and maintenance
• Resident, tenant, and workplace experiences
• Long-term system monitoring and management
During the initial stages, the company would focus on integrating proven products and platforms from established smart home, IoT, building automation, security, energy management, and property technology providers rather than manufacturing proprietary hardware.
The primary differentiator would be the software, systems architecture, and service model built around these technologies. The platform could enable different devices and systems to be deployed, integrated, monitored, automated, controlled, and maintained through a centralized and user-friendly interface.
The initial priority would be market validation. Before committing significant resources to development, we would conduct customer discovery, evaluate the residential and commercial markets, identify the most urgent and commercially valuable use case, and define a focused minimum viable product.
My background is in business strategy, marketing, partnerships, startup execution, and real estate. I spent several years working in the Philadelphia real estate industry, where I gained direct exposure to the needs and decision-making processes of property owners, developers, agents, investors, homebuyers, and other industry stakeholders.
I can contribute across:
• Business and product strategy
• Customer discovery and market validation
• Business development and sales
• Strategic partnerships
• Brand positioning
• Fundraising and investor communications
• Go-to-market strategy
• Real estate industry relationships
I also have professional contacts within the real estate industry who could support early customer discovery, provide market feedback, identify potential pilot opportunities, and facilitate introductions to prospective customers and strategic partners.
I am looking for a technical co-founder with experience or a strong interest in one or more of the following areas:
• Full-stack or backend software development
• Mobile application development
• IoT architecture and connected devices
• APIs and systems integration
• Device interoperability
• Cloud and edge infrastructure
• Artificial intelligence and automation
• Smart home or commercial building systems
• Construction technology or proptech
• Energy management platforms
• Consumer or enterprise software
This is not a search for a contractor or someone interested only in building a limited technical project. I am looking for a genuine co-founder who is prepared to take ownership, contribute to strategic decisions, challenge assumptions, communicate effectively, and help shape the company from its earliest stage.
The ideal candidate will be interested in building a long-term company, approaching product development with discipline, and moving with urgency while maintaining a strong focus on customer needs and commercial viability.
If this opportunity aligns with your experience and interests, I would welcome the opportunity to connect and discuss whether there may be a strong fit.
Seeking a Co-Founder for a Smart Automation and Intelligent Infrastructure Startup
I am working on a startup concept in the smart automation, construction technology, real estate technology, and intelligent infrastructure space. I am looking to connect with a technical co-founder who is interested in building something at the intersection of connected buildings, residential and commercial properties, software, IoT, automation, and the future of how physical spaces are designed, managed, and experienced.
The core idea is to make residential and commercial properties more connected, efficient, secure, comfortable, and easier to manage. The long-term vision is not simply to build a basic smart home or building automation installation company. I see a larger opportunity to create a platform, service model, or technology-enabled company that brings different devices, systems, and property technologies together into one seamless and reliable experience. One of the biggest problems in this space today is fragmentation. Homeowners, building owners, property managers, and businesses often deal with too many apps, disconnected systems, inconsistent integrations, weak automation, and technology that becomes difficult to manage over time. At the same time, there is also a major opportunity to think about technology earlier in the property lifecycle, including design, construction, renovation, ownership, operations, property management, tenant experience, and long-term maintenance.
Rather than viewing construction technology, smart home automation, and commercial building automation as separate opportunities, I believe there is a strong case for bringing them together under one broader company vision. Together, they could form a more complete solution that supports the full lifecycle of a property, from how it is designed and built to how it is connected, managed, operated, and experienced by the people who live or work there. In the early stages, I would not want to build hardware products in-house. Instead, I would focus on integrating high-quality products from established companies in the smart home, building automation, IoT, security, energy management, and property technology industries. From there, the opportunity would be to build a software layer, service model, or platform that makes those products easier to connect, control, monitor, and manage through a clean, user-friendly interface.
My background is in business, marketing, partnerships, startup execution, and real estate. I also spent several years working in the real estate industry in Philadelphia, which gave me direct exposure to the needs of property owners, developers, agents, investors, homebuyers, and other real estate stakeholders. That experience helped me understand how decisions are made in the property market and where technology can create real value across both residential and commercial environments. If we decide to work together and develop a clear concept for the product or service, I would be able to introduce and pitch the idea to high-level contacts I have in the real estate industry. This could help us get early feedback, validation, and insight from people who understand the market. It could also help us identify the strongest opportunity, the right customer segment, and the best way to position the company around a real problem.
I can contribute heavily on strategy, customer discovery, business development, partnerships, sales, branding, fundraising, and go-to-market. I can also leverage my network and professional relationships to create meaningful opportunities, open doors, build strategic partnerships, and support the startup’s growth. I am looking for a technical co-founder who has experience or strong interest in smart home technology, commercial building automation, IoT systems, software development, mobile app development, APIs, device interoperability, hardware integration, AI, automation, construction technology, real estate technology, proptech, energy management, or consumer and enterprise technology platforms.
The ideal person would be someone who is genuinely excited about the future of connected living, intelligent buildings, and smarter property infrastructure. I am not looking for someone who only wants to code a project. I am looking for someone who thinks like a true co-founder, cares about the problem, takes ownership, communicates well, and wants to help shape the company from the earliest stage.
The first step would be to validate the concept properly. I would want to speak with potential customers, study the smart home, commercial automation, construction tech, and real estate technology markets, define the strongest use case, and decide what the MVP should actually be. From there, the goal would be to build a simple but strong first version of the product or service and test it with real users across residential and commercial settings.
If this sounds interesting, I would be happy to connect and have a serious conversation. I am especially interested in speaking with someone who wants to build with urgency, think strategically, and potentially turn this into a long-term company.

Austin Airport Might be Getting a Capital One Lounge!
View from the Wing reported today that “Capital One has visited the Austin airport and worked through possibilities.” I’m really hoping this means Austin could soon get a Capital One Lounge.
The Capital One Landing at DCA
I visited Capital One Landing at DCA for the first time yesterday, and it honestly made such a great impression. The staff was super welcoming, and since it was my first time there, they were kind enough to show me around the space, which I really appreciated.
The whole place has a comfortable and polished feel, but still feels relaxed enough to actually enjoy before a flight. The menu looked really impressive, which makes sense since it was designed by the José Andrés group. I did not get a chance to try the food this time, but it definitely looked like something I would come back for.
I kept it simple with an espresso and a green juice, and both were excellent. The espresso was smooth, the green juice tasted fresh and refreshing, and the Wi-Fi was strong enough to get some work done without any issues.
Overall, this was a great first visit. Friendly service, a beautiful space, great drinks, reliable Wi-Fi, and a food menu I am excited to try next time.
Spotted These Beauties at AUS Today!
I had an early morning flight from Austin today, and I ran into these beauties!

I’m looking to explore more of South Austin and wanted to get some recommendations. What are some coffee shops in South Austin to get some work done?
