Im trying to do the embroidery on maomaos skirt which I plan to turn into a mamianqun since I wanted to follow a ming dynasty silhouette for my cosplay. I couldn’t really tell what the patterns were supposed to be so im thinking of embroidering woodsorrel and poppies since theyre associated with maomaos character…since woodsorrel and poppies arent super auspicious i cant seem to find many resources for references. If anyone knows any resources/tips for this that would be really helpful. any general ming dynasty embroidery help is also much appreciated!

I recently found this cape sold on Epetice’s website and I’m trying to track down the original seller. The brand listed is “Dream Lolita” but I can’t find them on taobao or any websites. I’ve found some listings for the cape on taobao but they seem to just be a reseller. If anyone has had positive experiences with this particular storefront I might order from them though.
