Residential and Commercial

My last couple of posts have been mostly commercial properties, so I wanted to share some residential work as well.

Thanks to everyone for making this such a welcoming and supportive community for all who enjoys sharing their lawn work!

91 YJ Perkins turbo diesel update

I did its first successful test run to O'Reilly's this week. May not seem like much but for me this is a huge milestone!

As I mentioned in my previous posts this YJ is very much still in its prototype stage and will be changing and improving over time.

Hopefully I can upload a video soon!

One of my favorite cuts of all time.

This was taken years back, when I was still mastering long passes. I came across it again while going through my portfolio and wanted to share it.

Wish I could save this Jeep DJ-5 Dispatcher

Earlier this year I was looking for parts for my YJ at my local junkyard and came across this Jeep DJ-5 Dispatcher. Hope someone buys it and brings it back to its former glory.

1991 Jeep Wrangler YJ industrial Perkins diesel.

I have been working on this for some time off and on.

The whole body's been rebuilt and painted inside out.

I swapped out it's original engine for an industrial 700s Perkins 2.9L 4 cylinder diesel engine.

Currently I am adapting a Garrett turbo.

I was not aware until now but this kind of mod is very rare and I wanted to share it.

It's not showcase pretty but it doesn't have to be.

I'm still not done I'm going to replace more or upgrade parts such as the brake booster.

I have already driven it on roads and highway.

Incredibly my Wrangler reaches up to 65 - 70 mph.

Acceleration is obviously slow but not awful and why I am adding a turbo at the moment.

For anyone wondering how the Jeep is withstanding the engines weight l used heavy duty leaf springs from some Ford 2500.

Thick custom engine mounts.

It was also given a 3-in lift.

Adapting the engine and transmission was easy considering that it is a industrial Perkins diesel that has no aftermarket support.

It was done in a few weeks with some help from family.

The clutch needed a small adapter made and the rest pretty much lined up with some modifications to the bell housing.

It will probably be done sometime this summer.

What do you think of her? 😎
