What comes first, testing the market or trimming and stacking an offer?

I'm about to do some outreach to gauge if my targeted customer even wants what I'm making, there's the models already proven overseas so also curious if you guys think i should even bother.

But my question is, should I just create a quick decent offer that people might be interested for free to gauge interest or do I start the process of creating a offer that they can't refuse? I've done the latter first before and the idea fell through so i don'twant that to happen again. It’s a lot of work to waste when you create the real offer but when you create a quick offer it's not as attractive.

How do you guys go about it?

Has anyone made it big with still having some hobbies and hanging with friends etc?

Context: When I say "made it big", I'd be happy with 400k profits. I'm not trying to be alex hormozi level.

I know Alex talks about trade offs, so I've cut my hobbies down to basketball for 3hrs max a week and 1 gaming night with boys a week. This is probably person specific and what you're willing to trade off but it has me curious, has anyone managed to make it big but still kind of have had (to use some forbidden words)some life balance?

Should I start a business that will free my time up but not make a lot of money?

Hi all,

I'm going through business ideas and I thought of one that would free up time and allow me to quite my job but wouldn't be a great long term business in my opinion because the cashflow would be low. I'm confident it will work and serve its purpose though.

My thoughts are if I do it then I can spend every waking minute trying start something worth building while it runs in the background, i'll be living on absolute minimum wage which is fine. I would have to sell my house to buy the assets for it and could probably get it running within 3months.

I'm just wondering if I would be wasting the time I have that would be better spent on using the money from my house and just continue spending my free time after work to pursue finding something that could pay more and be more permanent?

When Alex says SMB's are bad customers what revenue are we talking?

Alex always say SMB's are bad customers and I'm trying to stack the deck and avoid having bad customers when choosing my market but I'm not totally sure what his definition of a SMB is and where the revenue/net profit ranges from. Is it like 300k - 3mil? Google says SMB's range from 3mil to 10mil or under 50mil. Is this just one of those instances where I'm naive to how much money people can have? The customers I'm looking at range from 100k - 12mil and I feel like I could work with that. No?

Thoughts on real estate agents in Christchurch following up buyers

For any who are agents or deal with agents a lot, let me know your thoughts.

Has anyone had experiences where agents won't follow up, get back to or chase buyers. I'm pre-approved and some are struggling to get back.

For any real estate agents, is this common in the industry? Are you too busy? Or with no disrespect, are "some" agents just not chasing all buyers.

Me and my brother are trying to co-own. I don't know if this makes it less appealing for agents.

Cheers.

How to stop overthinking about what I say?

Anybody have advice on how to just have a conversation without over thinking, basically just be myself? I heard someone use a metaphor once that said "I feel like an elastic band. Every time I make progress, I just snap back to where I was" which I can relate to a lot. I've had long periods where I can just talk and not worry about anything to almost anyone I talk to, but like right now, I can get into long periods where I sensor myself because I think I'm not being funny enough or witty enough etc. It's this fricking hierarchical mentality bs I think too. Like they're better than me or I think they're worth impressing so I my minds hell bent on trying to impress them even if it means not being myself and becoming awkward. This doesn't work obviously as some of you might know because people can tell when you're not being genuine and it just makes you feel more shit.

Let me know if I'm on the right track with this technique. It's helped me get to those periods where I don't care about what I say.

The one that has worked is just realizing when I have negative thought, to just forget it or blank it out straight away and come back to the present and continue with what I'm doing. It's great but takes a lot of practice, you can get good though and become comfortable and then negative thoughts make their way back between the cracks and then you're where I am right now :) ......

Sorry if It's a ramble. Thought it gives more insight to how I'm feeling because I know it's a common problem.
