I was looking up reward flights for Montreal - Edmonton and saw a direct flight for 16k points + 290 CAD in business class. The same seat is 875 dollars in cash. Was wondering if this is a good use of points

I got accepted yesterday for the masters in sustainability program (undeclared) and was wondering what are your opinions on this program, i have the option to finish in under a year and was wondering if it will help me out in any way. Any advice is appreciated.
I have an upcoming flight with klm next week, my original flight from Mct - Ruh - Ams - Yyc was cancelled and I was rebooked to Mct - Ist - Ams - Yyc.
The first leg of this rebooked flight is economy under Garuda Indonesia (operated by Oman air) and im trying to upgrade this flight. However, I cant make any changes to my trip through either Garuda or klm and neither of their WhatsApp accounts have replied to me so far. If I wanted to upgrade to business how would I go about it?
