SUCCESS

Today two of my three half-wildies finally showed signs of trust! They are incredibly shy and scared and one even drew blood once but the other two test-bit me today, as seen at the beginning, and then started snacking and the blue of their eyes isn't as visible anymore! They also started approaching me when I put things in the cage and showing curiosity!!!!

Cage interior

Hello everyone, I've noticed that all of your cages look immaculately clustered. Like a toy bomb exploded in it and I LOVE it. I want to make my cage JUST LIKE THAT but I'm lost as to how I can achieve that. I'd really appreciate some advice on how to make my boys cage a big nice amusement park just for rats! Tell me what you put in your cages and what your babies enjoy. At the moment I rotate some hammocks, houses, toys for birds, enrichments and of course cardboard boxes and such.

Adulthood and independence

Main topic: food - don't read if that isn't a topic you like to handle : )

Hello, ive had a really rough life at home, moved to foster care at 13 years old and now at 19 years old I'm living alone. I didn't have any other choice and I can't tolerate living in some kind of community or something. Now I'm obliviously struggling with independence and the usual things like cleaning, schedule, burn out and cooking. I tried to buy easy-to-make foods and snacks but it's just not working for me and at the same time I can't cook. It doesn't taste that good when I cook but that's not the problem, the problem is more so my mental disorders like depression and PTSD. I struggle severely with food not in the sense of an eating disorder but more in the sense that I grew up in a hoarder house and thus never had enough to eat and/or food that's not gone bad so now I'm paranoid about food being bad. I cooked a meal and didn't like it so I didn't eat it and then it was two days old, which is totally fine especially in the fridge, but I just couldn't eat it anymore. Same with vegetables and fruit I can't bring myself to eat it. I lack severe motivation to cook, for some reason it's such a big chore that when I'm done I can't do anything else, not even eat so I've considered a thermomix or something similar. Do any of you have advice on what to do? I want to eat healthy because unhealthy foods hurt my stomach but at the same time I'm incapable of making any type of food. I'd appreciate any form of advice.

E-Mail leider weitergegeben
