i’m currently rewatching season 4 and 5. i’m noticing again how weird it was that caleb and tammy got married six weeks after meeting each other. so many of their conversations, at least the ones that we were able to see on TV, had this air of lovebombing and strong codependency. more like they fed off each other. tammy wanted unwavering attention from someone, and caleb wanted his 15 minutes of fame.

now i cant diagnose anything, but tammy is/was somewhat of a narcissist. she loves being showered in compliments and attention, and anyone who gives that to her has to be the love of her life. we can see that with jerry, the bbw king, and anyone else she had flings with. i also find it weird how the family wasn’t more suspicious of caleb after only meeting him a day before/the day of the wedding. like how amanda said “if theres a snake in the grass we cut the head off” and “we’ll do whatever it takes to protect our sister”. but everything we see goes through rigorous editing, so theres definitely a lot more to the conversations that chris, amanda, misty, and amy had with caleb that we don’t know about.

he admitted himself that he jumped to different rehab facilities searching specifically for tammy. on national television. and of course tammy being queen tammy, she took that as a compliment. no alarm bells ringing because she loves attention. i wish the family stood up for her more to save her from the heartbreak when he eventually passed.

i remember when they had “separated” before he passed and tammy had removed his last name from her social media profiles. tammy got frustrated with him not taking his health seriously and i imagine it was other things as well.

its very sad how it ended but we saw it coming a mile away. i really do believe caleb had no plans on getting healthier. with how much weight he had gained in between tammy visiting when she got out, you almost have to overexert yourself eating like that. even with him being as immobile as he was.

i’m glad she’s now with someone who has their shit together and i only hope that tammy has gotten help for all the mood swings. andrea seems like a good person
