Should I go to work or participate in magic week?

OK, so I just got the newsletter about me participating in one week of the magic program at Michigan State, but I completely forgot that I signed up for it and now I’m debating if I should go to it or if I should skip it and just go to work because during week two I’m participating in the multicultural business program from July 19 to the 25th so if I participate in the magic program, that’s two weeks of work that I’m missing basically a whole paycheck I really want to participate, but I’m just scared to because I have to pay out-pocket for school and I really don’t wanna miss any money.
To anyone who had participated in the past, let me know what you think I should do, please because if I do decide I need to put in my time off like today!!

What do I post to gain connections?

I just graduated high school and I’m planning on going to Michigan State this fall for accounting along with miring and real estate. I did a lot of extracurricular activities in high school but I made a terrible mistake of never really making any post about them on LinkedIn and I really do want to change that so what all should I make post about right now? I mainly just retweeting a lot of things.

Trying to create a village while not having one is sad

I am sitting here completely heartbroken, exhausted, and angry. Today was my graduation open house. I spent $300 to rent out a beautiful park pavilion and another $200 on food and decorations. I deliberately chose a lakefront spot with great fishing areas because my stepdad loves to fish, and to invite his friends.
Not a single person showed up. I just watched the hours tick by in an empty pavilion.
I am so tired of trying to build a "village" for myself and getting absolutely nothing in return. At my job, I go out of my way to build a community. I memorize my regular customers' names, their orders, and even their phone numbers just to make their days easier. I give out free treats to the little kids who come in, memorize their hobbies, and know who plays youth soccer or T-ball so I can ask them about it. If I see them out in public, I stop and celebrate them.
My mom doesn’t have much family in the area, but I have been actively posting about this open house on Facebook to friends, classmates, and coworkers for over a month. Everyone knew.
Graduating is supposed to be this big milestone where the people in your life come together to celebrate your hard work. Instead, I just wasted the very last of my savings to sit by a lake alone. It feels like a massive, humiliating slap in the face.
I’ve spent years being the person who remembers everyone else, who cares about the details, and who shows up. But today proved that when it’s my turn to be celebrated, I don't actually have a village at all. I don't even know how to process this level of disappointment

Am I crazy?

Hey everyone, back with more venting because it somehow got worse.
I’ve been at my current location for almost three years (three years this February). I am cross-trained on almost everything in the store—Cash, Barista, Salad, Sandwich, QC, and even Bake. The only things I don’t know are prep and truck.
For the last two years, my GM has actively had me training people. But here is what really makes my blood boil: she never warns me. I’ll just look at the schedule, show up for my shift, and boom—a random person walks up to me and says I’m training them on so-and-so today.
Lately, because a new location is opening up about 20 minutes away, we have MICTs (Managers-in-Training) coming to our store. My boss thought it would be a great idea to have me—a regular, hourly associate—train these incoming managers on opening and closing Cash. Again, with absolutely zero heads-up or warning. I am not a Team Lead, I am not an official trainer, and I don't get paid a single cent extra for this.
I’ve been asking to move up to Team Lead since nine months into the job, but it's always pushback or being left on read IRL. Meanwhile, she just promoted two coworkers to Team Lead who only know Sandwich and QC, and one of them is a close friend I literally brought into the job because she needed work. Yesterday when I questioned again about becoming a team lead, she straight up just told me she does not have the time to train me even though I’m gonna be at this location for two more months before I transfer for college.** I feel like that was just a huge slap in the face. I’m already doing the work of a team lead and then some there have been wars when they had me do barista and whatever day we need!!!**
I actually really love my job and want to stick with the company throughout college (probably the next 5+ years), but I cannot grow at this store. Honestly, the way my GM runs it, I see it shutting down in the next five years anyway

What classes should I take to diversify my background?

I am planning to apply for Michigan state broad program at the end of my freshman year however, I want to know what are some things that can make me look better. I already have a nice list of different clubs I want to join both related to my major and personal interest, but I just wanted to see what type of other classes I should take to make me look more human. I do have an interest in real estate and law so I am trying to find some classes that go along with this. what are some other ways to diversify my background?

How high do the beds go?

I’m thinking about having my bed lifted up if possible so I can have a little hang out or study area underneath. I’m currently in the middle of making my Amazon wish list to give to family and friends so I just want to know if it is worth putting the items on there that required my bed to be lifted

I officially have my classes planned as incoming freshman

I am exploring business majors, and I’m really invested in going through the accounting major. These are my current classes, but I’m just curious on what other things can I do that will make me look good when I decide to apply for broad next year as a sophomore.

Pottery clubs

Now that I’m starting college, I have a bunch of hobbies I will actually be able to pursue one of these are wanting to learn how to do pottery. I’ve always been fascinated with it, but being restricted at home really didn’t give me the opportunity to embark in this hobby so I was just curious if there’s any clubs that go over pottery or if there’s any pottery classes near East Lansing

Monthly installments for tuition

I’m an incoming freshman and I have to pay about 14,000 a year and I’m planning on doing the monthly installments for each semester. Does anyone know where I could find this information or at least figure out the different payment methods?

I’m an incoming freshman and I do have my heart set on accounting however everyone tells me I should go into some type of public speaking or law. I have really had a thought about it and I stumble up upon a real estate law as I am planning on getting my real estate license over the summer, but I wanted to see if that would be difficult to balance.
