Of course this is a joke, I am not a PDF file but some people seem to think so.

This is my laptop for college, after I disassembled it 3 times to sort out the thermal paste and thermal pads.
The intel centrino wifi chip refuses to connect to the college wifi, no idea why. But the USB antenna works!
YES I AM >!NOT!< USING ARCH, I know there are many experts here, I am begging for help. :3
yes, I am begging for help:
I have already posted on the ****** subreddit, which contains an image with some connection details which could be useful here.
I have already tried this solution here
I have a thinkpad X201 and the wifi chip is Intel Corporation Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 3x3 AGN [8086:1111]
I have another laptop with *********, and my thinkad also has ***********, both are on the latest version. The other laptop works perfectly fine for college internet.
I installed ******** on my thinkpad only last week with the latest iso, so it should be the newest version. Thinkpad kernel version is 7.0.5-1-default. It can connect to internet on my home internet, and mobile hotspot.
There is a log in terminal saying the reason is "deauthenticating from [mac adress] by local choice (Reason: 3 DEAUTH_LEAVING)"
Above picture contains correct details confirmed by the IT support and my other laptop with linux that works on this wifi.
Other things I have tried, this guide which resulted in my response:
>signal strength is 100%, and it's already on 2.412gHz (Channel 1)
>I also tried the guide there, It gave the same error notification on gui, "connection [wifi name] deavticated"
>the error in terminal is:
>"Error: Connection activation failed: The Wi-Fi network could not be found" and I tried to look for more details, but there were no details. This is weird because the same wifi network name appears in gui and when I list the network names in terminal.
I also tried making my mac adress non-randomised which:
>I tried the "restrict this device" and changing the "BSSID" setting the cloned mac adress,
>None of this changed anything
Any other details, please ask,
Thanks

So did I do anything wrong this time that will mean I need to disassemble it for the fourth time? I did use a random cheap thermal pad 0.5mm, nothing fancy so I just want to make sure it's safe for long term. Last time I didn't use a thermal pad at all, and the first time I added too much thermal paste. Can this be over? I am tired of disassembling it even if I am quite fast by now.
Some of you were asking some questions, like what OS. It's openSUSE tumbleweed (I like the gentoo logo). It runs very well, and I can use it as my daily laptop as I also have a desktop for things requiring extra power.
How much did the temps drop? From around 90C to mostly under 50C.
As for the wallpaper, Yeah I get it, some people don't like it and that's fine. And I will NOT be using this wallpaper in public places or college.
r/touhou liked the wallpaper, but I understand that the people there are like an echo chamber telling me that it's ok. see here
I even ended up on the devils subreddit, r/linuxsucks101 which I am obviously banned from. see here

So for my physics class, we have been given a challenge to remove all solid chocolate from a thermal flask as quickly as possible. We can use any regular equipment in the college lab and the lid is off.
My current idea is to use an electric heater rod which is at least 300 celcius to melt a hole and loosen the chocolate. I also think that using a vibration generator and oscilloscope to speed up the process could be good too. This could maybe work if the flask was vibrated at its resonant frequency. Would this work? I can't think of anything to convert vibrations to electrical signals for the scope.
Please share any other ideas you could have, I want to be able to get it all out within seconds if possible.

edit: pumping steam into the upside down flask sounds the best so far

This wallpaper. Sure Flandre look to be about 5 years old but it's not sexual in any way.
I also realise that the people on the touhou subreddit are more likely to think it's ok.

I had too much thermal paste in my last post.
The chip in the top left of my last picture has more thermal place as there used to be a thermal pad there, which is thicker.
edit: I know I posted this same post twice and removed the last one, because I though it didn't post, so I posted again. Then I realised I had posted it twice and removed the last one.
edit 2: I will need to redo this for a third time because I need an actual thermal pad to replace it. The thermal pad was very dry and cracking, and also only about 0.5mm thick, still going to get an actual thermal pad
This feels like a less common model, not seen too much of it.
Sadly the screen backlight doesn't work, so I have it off.
It still works well when connected to a CRT monitor.
I like everything about this laptop, from the 4:3 screen to the lid clips. Wish something similar was still produced.
Yes, I am aware the laptop is a bit dirty : ( But I don't use it much at all
I saw this on ebay yesterday and thought no way is that selling.
but you know what? it is maybe a good deal, like new and it's one of the best crts ever made.
and I love sun microsystems, very cool monitor in general. 850 pounds doesn't actually seem too bad.
thoughts?
