Shift work training
How is everyone handling training around 12 shift work. I work 12 hours 2 days 2 night and occasionally overtime. Do you guys just completely give up on the need for decent sleep during shifts?

I am currently working as a civilian paramedic, my partner has been in the caf for 5+ years so we’re exploring the options of me joining as well. I’ve looked into just joining as a combat medic but I really want to get my own degree in nursing. Would it be worth it for me to go through nursing school through the caf and be a nursing officer? I hear that nursing officers are mostly in clinic and i’m wanting to keep that front line responder aspect in my career. Would I be considered for Critical care nursing officer?
Hey there, I currently have a 2 upper and 2 lower workout split. Back and bi, Chest shoulder and tri, glutes, and legs. I’ve started going to crossfit and I really enjoy the conditioning of it. I’m wanting to include more conditioning/crossfit style into my workouts but I still enjoy the weightlifting split that I have. Any suggestions??
I usually take 1 day a week off from to gym a week, my other days usually just include zone 2 cardio and abs.
Has anyone volunteered internationally for either disaster relief, refugees etc.. How would someone get into that
Hi everyone,
I’ve come to a block in the road where i’ve been counting calories and macros for almost a year now and it’s gotten to a point where i feel overwhelmed and obligated to follow my macros.
I am a 22 year old female, I workout 4-5 times a week. I have no specific training goals I just workout for the sole purpose of enjoyment and to see better result.
I need help and advice to get out of this counting macros mindset and actually be able to make a plate of food without obsessing over how much is on it. I used to bake and cook and enjoy different recipes but now I just don’t do it anymore.
Should I try and scrap the whole app all together, or should I kind of scale my macros and calories to a stay around a certain range 130-150 g of protein, 1900-2300 calories example. I eat very healthy and barely any processed foods already, which I intend to keep doing, I just want to be able to pull a snack from the fridge without feeling guilty about it.
Any mindful tips would be appreciated :)
