Bowel obstruction
For a week straight I was throwing up every morning just bile and having awful cramps / diarrhea but very small amounts and lots of mucus. When I went to the doctor and got an xray it showed a “minor stool burden” which they said was not the cause of my week long episode, but I’m starting to wonder if it actually was because after taking MiraLAX for a couple days my symptoms stopped mostly. I was also told at the doctor that I could have chs which would make sense because I do use marijuana daily, but I stopped for a week and my symptoms did not resolve until I started taking MiraLAX.

CHS????
Looking for some input on my situation. A couple weeks ago I started waking up between 4-6am with nausea, stomach cramps like I need to have a bm, and usually I do. But when I get on the toilet I start gagging and eventually throwing up bile/acid. This was every morning for over a week, I stopped smoking because I thought it could be chs, I stopped vomiting (also got prescribed omeprazole and zofran) but still waking up with this stomach discomfort and urgency to go. Nausea is there but I’m able to combat it with deep breaths and zofran if needed. I started moderating my weed use a couple days ago with just a few hits at night and every other day. I haven’t had any symptoms at all while I’m smoking or after, it’s just in the morning. And I always get anxious about throwing up so that makes it worse. I’m so lost with this “diagnosis” because weed doesn’t make it worse if anything I’m actually able to eat. Reading everyone’s experience with hyperemesis it seems like they cannot smoke after they hit this stage.

Maine beachcombing spots?
What’s your favorite beach in New England? Specifically Maine if there’s any Mainers out there. Give me some hidden gems 🫰
Hyperemesis phase
If I had chs and I was throwing up already, wouldn’t smoking make that worse? I’m just confused because I’ve heard that once you start throwing up in the hyperemesis phase it doesn’t stop especially if you keep smoking. I just found it strange that I am only puking in the morning.
Chs or something else??
Hi all, sharing my story here for some advice/insight as doctors are not really giving me any answers. The past 2 weeks I have been waking up with awful nausea, anxiety, and stomach cramps like I need to have a bm.
I have always been an anxious person. When I was younger I had issues with morning nausea due to anxiety and when I got to college I started an ssri which really helped that morning sickness. I also have always had issues going to the bathroom whether it be that I’m constipated or having explosive diarrhea TMI 😂
Today was the first day I haven’t thrown up in the morning but I definitely felt like I was going to, I have been throwing up acid/ bile every single morning for the past 2 weeks. Went to the ER for dehydration last weekend and they said that I could potentially have CHS. Then when I went to my pcp on Monday she said that I most likely do not have chs, but I should refrain from all cannabis just in case. So I have been for the past 5 days I think? And my symptoms seem to be getting a little bit better but I can’t tell if I’m actually improving or just getting used to it. In the beginning, I would vomit all morning to the point where I’m so exhausted and then I would just go to sleep for a few hours and wake up fine and smoke again. Never once did smoking make me feel worse, in fact it was helping me gain an appetite after the vomiting episodes. But after realizing it could be a problem I decided to stop just in case because I never want to feel like this again. I know I am probably in denial, but I would just really love for it not to be chs as I have been using weed to cope with my adhd/ ed for a couple years now. Any tips on how to improve gut motility after experiencing something like this? I just feel so backed up and exhausted because I’m unable to eat real meals. My doctor prescribed 40mg omeprazole (half in the am half pm) and I’m not sure if that’s really helping or not. I’m just so tired of waking up feeling shitty, I know it’s a long road to recovery but when will it end😭😭
